What an inspiring couple. I hope I'm still paddling, pedalling and walking at that age...

Thank you, Bill, for making this video for us! We have been having this discussion for several years. It's time to make the decision and this video helps immensely.

This is very important for mental health to see that people in their 70s still paddle. I am excited to know that it’s possible into the 90s Bill. I have 3 canoes, only one is a swift - prospector 15 mostly run in small ponds and creeks. It’s amazing. You missed my favorite part but that is likely because it’s universal in all your boats. The seats. I love my other two canoes but it’s really hard to want to paddle any length of time without those swift seats. Truly amazing comfort in the seats.

I needed to see this. I spent my life desiring the most high tech products available. Now that I’m in my 50s, I’ve been appreciating tradition much more. I wish I could combine the two, without adding the extra weight. Unfortunately, that’s simply impossible.

great video Bill, we own a Keewaydin 16 that we bought in 2013. Its is a carbon fusion and weigh around 35 pounds. It is perfect for a 72 years old to pick up and portage. Also in a previous video you mentioned that the Keewaydin is sea worthy. This summer we did a 5 day trip in Laverendrye park and on the first day we had strong wind with 20 inches wind. The canoe cut through the wave with no problem and when we where positioned sideway we experienced the wave being forced under the canoe and not over. We felt very safe . Roland

Thanks for the breakdown of their decision. My wife and I were up in the air over the old standby Prospector or the Keewadin. Love both but in the end we picked the Keewadin. It came down to research and how it handled in the wind. It really wasn't an easy decision but we honestly felt we couldn't go wrong with either. Plus we LOVE the name KEEWADIN.
