I must have bled my brakes 10 times, My wife was getting the leg workout of her life trying to help me. I was looking at videos on how to bleed my master cylinder when I came across your video. I ran out to the driveway and seen my calipers on backwards. Bro, you just saved me Thank you for posting this.

Wow talk about serendipity... Here I am trying to get the extra squish out of my pedal after changing two rear cylinders and the left caliper. Looking at Dodge Dakota bleeding in case there's something different with Dodge. I saw your vid and I flash that the new caliper has the port on the bottom!!! How did I not notice that? I checked my online order with Advance and sure enough I ordered a right instead of a left... Easy fix... Took of the two bolts and held the caliper so the port was up, gravity bled it, reinstalled. It's a closed system. Who cares? Brakes are rock solid!!! Thanks

Rob.... Amazing... thank you for this.... I've been off the road for over 2 weeks... Exactly the same issue as you said... Calipers on the wrong side😊... Just a shame I replaced EVERYTHING before I got to see your video...

Update: YOU ARE A LIFESAVER! omg I went out as promised and bang they were indeed backwards. I put it up on jackstands and swappped them. 1 bottle of fluid later the rear breaks stop. now I just have to get new ones for the front (making sure they are installed right) being the bleeders broke off but the car is stopping with the rears.. This 240 lives on to see the road and being I lived in it has meaning that I didnt want to get rid of her.. OMG lifesaver TYSM

Hi Kenneth, you are most welcome. Always look for the simple fixes first. Fixes that require a little time and no parts are the best!

Yep, i made that mistake before. It’s a learning experience for sure. Now if only i could figure out why my brakes won’t bleed after taking calipers off for paint 😂

WOW after 2 full litres of brake fluid wasted i have finally come to the right video, i seen that the bleeder was in a different location but it honestly just passed my mind, decided to bleed the replaced calliper over 3 times, ended up doing all the callipers and still no luck, did one bleed with the calliper flipped and the disc brake and pads in between to prevent the piston from coming out and BOOM got all the pressure back

Darn. Yeah, don't assume other stuff is broken if it was working before your repair. Well, now you know.
