Very nice tone.

@@josemoura2838 Olá! Nesse vídeo trata-se de uma Jody Jazz DV NY 7* com Daddario Jazz Select Unfiled 3H
it would have been nice if he had played similar material on both horns.

Yeah I agree, I try to get the vibe of the horn and play on the different registers. But I do play the same melody on both
The test seems more designed to gaslight the player’s skill rather than offer a comparative assessment of the performance of each instrument. As far as I was able to make any sense of the performance, this could have easily have been obtained on a Bombay Taxi Horn.

I understand your point, I'll always sound the same on any horn. But I do notice the little sound differences between each one I'm playing with. In the end it's all a matter of equalization and personal taste.

@@DesiderioLazaro Thank you Mr Lazaro for your reply. Of course there is a difference between the horns but ridiculously insignificant .As a refurbisher of more than fifty years experience, most all names have passed through my hands. I have been desperately searching for an instrument with an inbuilt full body sound not dependant upon the player’s skill. What in your super expert opinion would this be? I have been totally disappointed with all or most of the modern horns as these are specifically designed for projection and edge. I have two Keilwerths and a Conn. The Conn does have some body but I find the left hand little finger assembly inconvenient as well as the low C# and the octave mechanism for sure is a reptilian design. I shall be looking forward to your advice and thank you.

@@vivianastridge2167 thanks for your insight. I wonder if that kind of horn really exists - with inbuilt full body sound not dependant upon the player's skill. I reckon the combination of mouthpieces and reeds seem to make much more of a difference in the end result
