Gerald Albright is a master of developing a motif.

Tevis sound like Tevis - always a great upper register manipulation and transitions. The guy in the middle had that Turrentine thing going on all the way man. That alto - damn, now that's how you put a solo together, build it in motifs and than just max it out somewhere towards the middle. Tasteful melodic playing. Horns be damned, that guy is a great player. The Cannonballs sound fantastic.

Incredible performance. Tevis Laukat’s father helped me purchase my Selmer Mk6 Bari. Tevis was amazing in High School. When we attended the Cannonball Adderly symposium at UOP, Mr Adderly pointed out Tevis’ ability.

Wow, that's spaghettis in seal beach, ive played in this venue a couple times with the lbcc jazz band, it's already lookin slightly cramped with just 7 dudes, imagine how cramped that big band got it

I play bari sax, and I just want to say, I LOVE Cannonball instruments. I started on a Mark VI, I swapped to some Yamaha, now I use an Accent for rehearsal, but my favorite is still the Cannonball sax I got a few years back that I use for any performance I need saxophone for, or when I'm practicing at home. I wish it was an easier to transport instrument, because then I'd absolutely ditch that Accent and use the Cannonball. Its a beautiful horn with an absolute awesome tone.

de olofpass The Mark VI didn't have a low A-key and was a school-owned instrument that had not been treated well. It plays witha better sound than the Yamaha or Accent I played with, but the lack of a low-A key and the lack of general response throughout the beat-up horn made it impractical once I got my cannonball, which is really a shame.

Laukat played more harmonically interesting stuff, but Bias has a better tone. Gerald is a monster.

Chameleon is one bad ass tune but Thrust was, and still is, better.
