THANK YOU! My problem was a stuck piece of paper. Removed it. Now it works just fine. Have cartridges for my "older" Canon. Didn't want to purchase a new one...IF I could fix it. Good Job of Explaining Where the Problem Is Located.

Hello! I have a one year old and 2 months Canon G2000 printer that recently had the same problem (5200 and 5B00). Scoured the web for a solution but all required the resetter software which you have to pay for. Thank you so much to D M X sKILLS for sharing this fix. Bought a set of inks (to top up my tanks), cleaned the heads manually by removing them from the printer and followed his advice. Printer works fine now (hope it stays that way). Was so dissapointed with Canon Customer Care in the PH - kept on telling me that my printer does not qualify for the usual two year warranty for Pixma highend printers because I did not register the product online when I bought it a year ago (noone told me it was a must!). Anyway, happy to help anyone who encounters the same problem. Thanks!

Works! I search for a solution for hours with no luck. Great job! I think the system was removing all the air in the lines. You may want to check the ink absorbing pads in the back of the printer. I had just cleaned mine before I found and applied your solution and the pads now have some ink in them. If you don't check before you apply your solution, you just might have a mess on your hands. Thanks for your solution!

I have been trying to print for several months after the black ink ran out completely and I refilled it but couldn't get it to charge the lines without bubbles. Did all the print nozzle cleaning and checks with no luck. I did notice a page stuck too but that was after many print jobs and cleaning attempts. Pulled it out tried this and so far one page has printed just fine after this so fingers crossed it continues. Thank you so much. (I was ready to pull the print heads, clean or try to suck the ink out manually.)

Great Job Man, The process worked pretty well, surely it consumed a lot of ink by my printer started working normally. Just for your info I tried this process on my G3400 Printer and it worked in the same way as it worked on your G2000 printer

this solved my error code 5200! After 2 days of messing around with my printer(adding ink, removing and carefully cleaning print heads,uninstalling and reinstalling the printer,etc.) I kept getting the orange error flash and the error code 5200. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
