Thanks!
Cannibal Corpse reinvented the wheel! Just kidding, they didn't. But they did uncork a new disc of brutality done by one of the patriarchs of the craft. These days, that's good enough.

    I give CC a lot of credit for being one of the most consistent bands in death metal

    Consistent in their redundancy, doing the same thing and making the same album over...and over....and over...and over....and over again.

    Funny, I think it's one their best ones! I really feel a difference compared to their previous efforts, I love the old school vibe in the album! Not only in the sound but also in the compositions, highest level of frenzy in while, lot of passion and soul!

    Eh, I listened to half of it and it's solid. I really enjoyed the title track, but CC is a very difficult band to talk about because there isn't much to say or dig into. They approach death metal in a very clear, formulaic, simple way and that's just what they do--that's just the role they fill, it seems. I only see myself being a casual fan in the future, tbh. Overall, that's all I could really say about it. Good review CKN.

    In my opinion (which nobody asked for) 17/30 is a bit harsh. Compared to lots of bands that provide a similar style their music has a lot of substance. Only one will die is an amazing opener. Just imagining two savages going at each other

    Solid review CKN. Definitely fair to say that this record is good overall but it's just not great. Cannibal Corpse just doesn't ever change which makes it hard to compare each album to the others. I just loved how aggresive this album is and with no 'let up'. May or may not buy it in the future.

    bulletfreak Lol them and Schammasch IMO. It's a good way to get a band's name more recognized, but I don't think that this album will be the best introduction to this band because of the fact that it's a triple release of pretty much three parts of one song split into those three albums (like what Blut Aus Nord did) and while each of those three parts are split into smaller parts by themselves, those parts are pretty much each over 10 minutes

  • @sebastianarmas897

    @sebastianarmas897

    bulletfreak Vardan certainly is an interesting DSBM project, in that he has released somewhere around 25-30 albums (including his splits) in the past 10 years, so he has quite the back catalogue to explore. I'm not sure what would be a good starting point, though.

    You have a real skill at being able to talk in great detail about these subjects seemingly without any pause to think, and I think you've slowed your pace down from past videos. However, I think you should work on the audio quality if you can, though. I hear something in the background in some videos like this one. Also, being able to play very short snippets of what you're talking about would definitely help your points (I know it might jeopardize monetization, but maybe you could get around it). I think you have an interesting perspective on things and you can articulate your thoughts precisely, but it would just be easier to understand if you made those two adjustments.

    I just saw them last night and the new songs sound great. I wasn't a fan of the singles they released before it came out, code of slashers and red before black i believe, but they grew on me when they played them. I really dug Shedding my Human Skin, Scavenger consuming death, and the last track I forgot the name of. It's a cannibal corpse album, i think cannibal corpse fans would like it, and those who always hate on them won't. Hell, it was DEFINITELY better than the new suffocation, dying fetus, and obituary albums. It's nothing really different than their standard formula. I'm not gonna listen to it everyday but i'll definitely add a few of the songs into my Cannibal Corpse rotation. As for the cover, at first i didn't like it and expressed that but now I don't really care.

    I think the new album is great and its definitely better than than the last one its loud and heavy definitely something you could head bang to and its nothing new or mind blowing either just generic, there are a couple things missing to like the album cover, I miss the gory ones, I'm a bit disappointed, I miss the good old days when the used to stir up the media with ther controversial lyrics and gory album covers, they should bring those elements back into their music.

    Pretty standard CC release. I dig the back to back of Shedding My Human Skin and Remaimed the most on this record. As much as I love Corpsegrinder I've always been more partial to the Chris Barnes era of the band. All in all still a solid addition to the Cannibal Corpse catalog, and I agree with your rating of the disc.

    As much as I feel Cannibal Corpse is essentially the generic Death Metal band, I still love it. I feel there is a reason they are the most well known, and it’s because they are good. As formulaic as they are, the formula works for marking kick ass music. IMO, at least

    I have been listening to Cannibal since 1999, yes I know I am still young 33 and the first album I heard was the George era Gallery Of Suicide....I don't know the last 3 albums just lack something in my opinion. Paul in some songs the drum beats sound cringe worthy almost Lars Ulrich snare beats like he is in a marching band. I am a huge Cannibal fan in my top 10 all time but this album is not very memorable
