Yesss! I read yesterday someone reporting all about his bad press from the libel trials. I don’t agree with that at ALL. So unlike the UK trial, where the judge’s son was on “The Sun”’s payroll, and AH was permitted to suck-on Candy- during her testimony, the Virginia trial was televised. There was just a little sniffing, but I came away liking Depp even more. I went out and bought my son Dior’s Savage cologne. I only wish I could have bought bottles for my SIL, husband, and other son. I do plan on it.

Most actors are walking characterological disorders. Pretty much anyone who has lived in the Los Angeles area can tell you that, although they'll likely call them personality disorders. That's why they lie as easily as they breathe. They're accustomed to lying and acting from early childhood onward, so to go from that to doing it professionally and getting paid handsomely for it comes naturally. Narcissists, histrionics, borderlines, sociopaths and psychopaths...that's the confluence of what makes up Hollywood right there. If you start dissecting their personal lives, you'll be disgusted if you have a conscience.

All I can say is his French accent is impeccable.The photography of the film is exquisite but it's hard to make of Louis XV an interesting character, he's been one of the dullest French monarchs, only challenged by his grandson, Louis XVI. Looking forward to seeing him in a more exciting role.

I can't wait to see it, Johnny Depp is a great actor and the French actress playing leading lady seems to be excellent for the role with the short movie clip I saw I love her in the interview positive attitude about Johnny Depp she says something like " his personal life is not her business" " I wanted him, regardless of being American" this is what great team work is all about, different countries/actors/actress working together . 🇺🇸

Um…it was a woman that ignored his personal problems and cast him…let alone an American…She deserves all the credit in the world

I love the way Maiwenn said Johnny wanted to hold on to his authority, but she wanted us to see his more romantic, taciturn, dark side. What a beautiful thing to see,to say. 4:00 And she rightly says his private life is his business, not ours, and we are not judges. I wish there were more people like her in the world. So glad he had gone from strength to strength since the horrendous years before.

He lost 1st trial and won 2nd but the 1st was not against AH but a newspaper. And the judge literally believed what amber would say even though they were lies, like the $7 mil donation she said she donated that was never donated. The judge wrote she was credible for donating the money. And it was all bs. It was the 2nd trial that showcased to the public all the evidence and the credibility (and lack thereof) of all the witnesses. So when she said we will never know. We saw the evidence so i wholeheartedly disagree. We know. Maybe she felt she needed to be neutral. But it was disappointing. I am so glad he starred in this. By them choosing Johnny their movie will be popular around the world. It was a smart move on their part i feel. And from the clips it looks like he did such an outstanding job. We support you Johnny!! He is a survivor!! And an inspiration to so many!!!

So glad France is doing this movie with Johnny Depp. There are so many documentary English movies, but not enough in France.

@@mrdanielnewell It is much harder to get the French accent correct - everytime - the American accent is THE easiest to mimic - especially if you have spoken English as a second language since your early years. French with the correct colloquialisms is a different level. Interestingly, there are not many Americans that can do the English language well at all - nevermind French; although Depp is one such exception - again.
