Learned something new that NAC is connected to the Nucleus accumbens. The more I learn about glutamate toxicity the more it exposes so many mental health related symptoms🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Thanks for the research. Im 19 and I've been wondering if my brain can return to a normal be brain, probably not but it's no one's fault but my own and will work towards being the best person I can possibly be ether way. I smoked for the first time when I was 13, Heavy use began around 15 years old and I just stopped 3 months ago. Sobriety made me realize of my difficulty of remembering events in my life durring my use, and being able to cope with school. I dropped out of high-school and I enroled myself in a Ged program. Hopefully I'm not dumb for good. I sure need those 6 extra IQ points.

How much weed did you smoke, when you say heavy use? Weed saved my life when I had cancer.

It’ll definitely get back to normal if you stick with it brother. I’m 39 and have smoked weed daily since 13ish and I’m trying to quit. You’re making a great decision staying sober if you are prone to addiction. I had moved onto heroin by the time I was your age. Addiction always gets worse if you don’t stop and getting high isn’t cool. It’s actually kinda lame. Good luck to you!!

Smoked marijuana for the first time when I was 13. I’ve been high 95% of the time since then. I’m not 19 about to turn twenty. And through the years I was an all-conference student and athlete. I even walked onto to a division II Baseball team. Marijuana never “slowed me down” I thought but up until recently I’ve changed how I’m thinking. I rather think “how much better am I going to be with out it” I’ve slowed down to 1-2 times right before bed but I need to get over this hump. I really hope this will help me kick weed.

CUD? Its called addiction. Lets just get that out in the open, weed is addictive and can impact your health negatively.

Cannabis use disorder. Addiction isn’t a precise word and means different things in common parlance.

@@shanecrump7932 Its addictive. You redefine things all you want but in the end it is addictive- and you go thru withdrawals when quitting. Its a billion dollar industry that would be destroyed by the fact that it is addictive. One more bubble ready to pop

"[_] use disorder" is pretty standard medical jargon for an addiction. If you were addicted to meth, you would be diagnosed with "Methamphetamine Use Disorder", etc.
