    The Mete SF and Mete SFT have the same triggers. The SFT Pro is the Rival version of the trigger and much different. I love them all, but the SF is basically the Glock 19 of the Canik product line. Perfect size and no need for the MC9 or the Elite SC. But I rarely carry any of my Micro 9's like the 43x, MC9, P365 unless it is the XL or Spectre Comp.

    The Sar K12 is a Tanfoglio clone. Tanfoglio copied the CZ 75 during the Cold War and developed it separately over the years, eventually producing very popular and successful competition guns. CZ returned the favor w/ the Shadow and Tactical Sports guns.

    The P8L is my favorite of the Steel frames mainly because of the ported barrel. It would be awesome if they put out a gen 3 of the K12 optics ready and a 1913 rail! Maybe someone can influence them to create perfection at an affordable price. I've got the 2000 model with custom CZ G10 grips and the Galloway Precision trigger spring kit and it shoots almost as good as the Shadow 2.

I had been in the market for a hammer fire pistol for a while and the price was right for under $400 when I bought it at Dunhams a couple years ago. Recoil rod/spring design has an impact on recoil impulse. The standard SAR9 has a two-spring design like the XP series and halfway to the DPM aftermarket systems. If you don't mind adding $100 to the cost of the Canik, you can probably get the recoil to feel equal or better.

    Great Video. I’ve been a Canik shooter for a very long time and have a few. However, I have heard of SAR pistols and just recently picked one up in 45ACP (SAR K2 45C). Fell in love with it. It’s very well balanced and can shoot lights out. I just ordered an SAR P8L this past week (before seeing this video) and it arrives tomorrow. Looking to see how it compares to my Canik Elite Combat (my favorite).

  • @Bryan-1689
    @Bryan-1689Ай бұрын

    Good video and comparison. Matt shooting pistol is interesting and think some of his recoil control is a better grip with his support hand. But great to get his point of view coming in as a less experienced pistol shooter. Jason is spot on, trigger is one of my things as well, give me a good trigger and I can deal with most of the rest. Honestly though I have no comparison as I have shot all the Caniks but the Rival-S and not had a chance to shoot the SARs as you just do not see them where I am at. Would love a chance to shoot the sub-compact to compare to the MC-9 as I have 2 of them and shoot them well. And Jason, change out the trigger on the MC9 to a Fat Daddy or Fat Daddy 2 from Freedomsmith and it makes a big difference, at least to me.

    I own a sar USA and my wife owns a Canik. We both love both firearms. We love the Dual sided rail release on The Canik. Other than that to me the Sar USA is a little bit better when it comes to handling of different types of ammunition. Because we both noticed when we were at the range using the training ammunition if you will the cheap ammunition the Canik had a higher Jam rate then the Sar USA. Other than that they are very close we both own a I believe it's the 4-in model so again over all they are very close, they're very good it's just that one issue that we notice.

    Out of box canik takes it, but sarsilmaz has very well built handguns for their price point, I'm a personal fan of their p8L . Sar recommends 200 to 500 round break in period for their barrels, they have one of the hardest barrels in the industry. For 600$ they offer all metal lifetime guns... not a lot of other folks doing that in semi auto high capacity. Also canik in my opinion has the best package as far as in box presentation, they give you everything but ammo for less than a basic glock 19 price.

    I have the older Sar9 full size and now the Sar9 Compact Gen 3, and I can tell you the triggers are very different now. Exceptional triggers now and with the slide cuts it is beautiful with low recoil and low muzzle rise. I love it. As far as holsters, they will both fit the same holster.

    I have both the Sar 9 and tp9 elite, I shoot the Sar way better and it feels better in the hand. It’s my 2nd favorite behind the P10

    That bore axis on canik is way too high.. You're just creating more recoil

    Pistol guy vs. small left-handed rifle guy, I don't know I rather see Kaya and jason redo this comparison no problem with matt but it looks like the humidity is giving him trouble holding the pistols.

    For all the heat Matt's getting in the comments, his accuracy was on par with if not better than Jason's--gun for gun...wonky grip and inexperience notwithstanding. Rounds on target > looking cool sending rounds down range.
