CANGGU X TANAH LOT ROAD TRIP

Hey,
Welcome to the channel or welcome back to the channel, hope your amazing!
On this past Sunday, while having our easy going breakfast, we decided to do something different and go on a little adventure! Packed some things for the road and a possible beach dip!
Got on our scooter and headed west, in the direction of Canggu! First stop was Echo Beach, beautiful day but not many waves, still there were some people out surfing.
Walking on the sand, we went on to Batu Bolong beach and stoped for a quick and refreshing dive in the ocean! Our son loved it, because it is a sand bottom, very different from the beaches in the Bukit area, full of reef.
Lunch time was upon us and we already knew what we wanted, as we were aware the Oak Berry was already open in Canggu and we missed our açaí bowls from Portugal! A bit expensive, compared to the majority of restaurants that we normally go, actually, we paid more or less the same price as in Portugal. Anyway, it was very delicious.
Before leaving Canggu we still had time to go into a Street market, Inês went browsing for some bikinis, birkenstock and yoga clothes, but didn't get anything...
After a Bali Kopi we had on a warung by the road, we went back to the scooter and made our way to the next location, Pura Luhur Tanah Lot.
We timed it perfectly with the low tide, so that we could access all the Temple and not just see it from a far. I have to say, it was a very surprisingly good experience, the Temple is very well taken care off, very clean and organised.
There were some turists yes, but it was possible to walk arround with no problem! Also, we did the natural water fountain blessing, an awesome experience.
The sun was almost setting and we saw to the left side of the temple, a beautiful hill, with a grass field and some food tents, looked like a great place to eat something and see the sunset!
After a quick search in Google Maps, we found BeNer Sunset point, exit the temple, grab our scooter and went on the search one more time! Indeed, it was a beautiful place to see the sunset, had some turist, but also some locals. The food was good, but very small portions (not expensive tho).
The sunset was amazing, but the day was already long and our son was very tired, despite of all the naps he did in the scooter during the day. Time to go back home, still we had almost 2h drive back to Balangan...
Almost home, we remebered that Sidewalk Shopping center had food on discount after 8pm, so we decided to do another quick stop to pack some food for the week.
Finally back home, safe and ready for bed! What a great adventure, we were all very happy with the decision but so tired from it all!
Special thank you to my wife @inesafflalo for keeping up with my ideas!
Hope you enjoy!
