Good job ghost. Even after it was over, he was still in protection mode, like he was wanting to make sure nobody was gonna bring harm to you. & I can tell he loves you to the moon & back!! You're not gonna get that with your average golden retriever. Great video!!

Dogs can sense their owner is in proximity of their home from up to a half mile away. We don't even know how well they smell but they have an amazingly strong sense of smell very different from ours. Scenarios like this should be done with a trained decoy.

He knows your sound and there's parts of your body that give off scents that tell him it's you. A dog knows sounds their loved one's vehicles make that we can't hear and they can hear and smell us coming miles away. Way before they see us. He knew it was you. This isn't a very good test doing it yourself or with someone he's familiar with. He heard you talking outside the door, he heard your footsteps going around the house in the grass. He smelled your scent. Yes, through walls and windows and doors. Those things aren't perfectly sealed air tight as you might think.

She tricks him alot, but he still is not sure. She already knew to not come in the house in costume because there is a good possibility that he would attack. If the clues don't match, he may not have time to think it through. She has a video where she is talking and puts a mask on. He becomes apprehensive and confused.

Hey great videos I just found your page I'm also in Texas and my corso pup should be here in a couple of months. But my advice is when you leave ghost alone at home you should turn a TV on or a podcast or something. That helps with separation but also works as a mental stimulation throughout the day

Be very careful when doing this. I had a German shorthair pointer that went through a window after someone prowling years ago. Bandit was half the size of ghost. Ghost would make short work of your glass door if he really wanted to. Bandit had to get his paws and forehead stitched up. Good exercise but be sure you hav3 someone else there to stop the exercise if he gets really serious. Beautiful dog and owner! ❤

I had a very large boxer that tried to go through a window after my husband scared me. I was his chosen person and he didn't put up with any shenanigans around me.

Just seeing him would keep intruding from trying to break in.
