Love the color, love the stripes, not sure about the flames, but hey, everyone's taste is different. I like everything to look sleeper stock My uncle was a little old man that worked at Champion spark plug and had a speed shop as a side gig hobby. Had a olds/hurst 442 that looked stock on the outside but under the hood it was dazzling....did speed runs to his indiana cottage at 90mph with my 70 yr old aunt riding shotgun....

There is something extremely satisfying about peeling off masking tape after the paint is dry.

How do you manage to paint in a work area like that without having it full of dust, and turning out terrible? It looks like great, like you had it in a booth

Thank you! Years of experience running his own shop for 35+ years. We blow out the shop the best we can, tack cloth the car before we paint and he tries to paint with the air pressure low so it doesn't stir up as much dust. Pick the occasional bug off with a piece of masking tape (it IS Florida🤣). Hes used paint booths in the past and his work turned out exactly the same as he painted at his old shop. He knows how fast and how thick to lay it, more than seeing it. He wet sands everything anyway so a little bug or dust won't hurt. We only had one bug on the hood and one on the roof, the last coat of clear lol. They'll sand out because they're under the last coat of clear.
