Candle Snuffer Simple Blacksmith Forging Project Video

Candle Snuffer Simple Blacksmith Forging Project Video
Hello all and welcome back to Empty Pockets Ironworks, I hope that everyone is doing well. I am happy to report that my son after his leg surgeries is doing very well and is adjusting very well to being less mobile.
For this weeks video I decided to take things back, after my last video with my some wheelchair modifications performed very poorly, the comments and well wishes where fantastic and very very much appreciated. With that being said I hope that putting a video out with some forging and a fairly simple project will garner some more or renewed attention to the channel. I don't strive for views but do know that a poorly viewed video can be detrimental to a persons channel. So, You live and learn. I am happy that I got to express and share a bit more of my chaotic life with you all but whole heartedly understand that my channel is for ironworks and not necessarily personal or family matters.
this is only the second forged candle snuffer that I have made, I know they are a relatively rudimentary project that all smith should probably do at one time or another, I hope that my take is suffice.
I tried to incorporate a few different aspects of the process utilizing the Coal Ironworks 12 ton press and alternatively the anvil etc.
I hope you all enjoy and look forward to getting another video out to you all soon. Please Like comment and share the video as every little bit really helps me out.
Chris

Cool handle idea, bit different than the normal twist, separation between, and the bark type texture is awsome also.

Thank you. It's only the second time I've done it like that, I think a few more things will get similar applications.

Thank you so much, and I'll try to pay to the community tab an image of my bark and antique distressed dies. Super simple to make and a ton of fun to use. Thanks for watching.

@@wrotiron I watched your unboxing of your coal iron forge. I got one shortly after. I was a little hesitant to make dies because my welding is along way from real good. My first set of fuller in dies worked real well.
