Fabulous video! I really appreciate the way you give additional nutritive information on the items you are processing, rather than just the recipe itself. MUCH appreciated! :-)

The sugar cane lasts longer than the sugar free but they are both very tasty. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing your recipe. I especially enjoyed all the instructions and information regarding the two sugars and gingers qualities.

So glad you liked it. I make this in small batches because the sugar free version does not keep as long as the sugarcane ones. Enjoy these peppery treats they are soothing on the throat too. Thanks for watching.
this is a high volume of knowledge. it is impressive to be able to explain so many variables and not be boring. great video

Thanks so much. The ginger made with monk fruit sugar alternative only keeps for a few weeks unlike the sugar cane which keeps for a very long time. If you make small batches you can consume them quickly and don’t don’t have to worry about storage that much. Also, if you live in a very humid climate they are best kept in the fridge. Thanks for watching!
Love it. thank you

Thanks Yolanda. Glad you liked it.
I am so glad to did a video on making ginger. I buy candied ginger at my local health food store. I could absolutely eat the entire bag the minute I get it. My mother always had a jar of candied ginger in the house. I don't like eating all the sugar so I want to try the monk fruit. Hopefully I will love it just as much. Thank you Suzy 🤗🤗🤗

Merry , you inspired me to make this. Glad you liked the video. I love ginger like this. I’ll bet that , even if you use the granulated white sugar , it will still be less sugar than store bought. Thanks for watching

@@suzyrebelo thank you Suzy. I am so glad I inspired you. I love your channel. My grandparents were born in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
Thank you again. I just made some with the Monk fruit and yeah it’s like glass like hard candy that you can just only suck on. But I like it.

@suzyrebelo Hi Suzy, is freezing a good option for the sugar free ginger pieces? Thinking of making a large batch, then using small amounts from the freezer to thaw and use for baking or snacks? Thanks
@suzyrebelo

Hi there. I believe it will thaw soft if you freeze it. I placed mine in a jar after it was thoroughly dried and it kept it in the fridge. However, I used it up within a few weeks. You could also vacuum seal it and that should keep it for a long while too. The key is to keep it very dry…moisture can create mold.

@@suzyrebelo vacuum seal sounds like a great idea. I hear you re the need to be dry and no moisture to ruin it. Much appreciated.
Thanks! May Jesus continue to bless you and your family

These are tasty and peppery sweet treats. The monkfruit sugar will not preserve them as long as cane sugar does. I usually make enough to eat with a couple of weeks. Thanks for watching

Awesome thanks. I might try the non sugar recipe but use half MF sweetener and half Allulose.
@suzyrebelo

Just a note, the sugar free sweeteners don’t preserve the ginger like sugarcane. Therefore, make enough to consume within a week or two. It might keep longer depending on what you use but keep an eye on it. These are so nice for a dry or sore throat, as well as, being very delicious too. Thanks for watching
Best ginger candy video that I've seen so far. Great job 👍. I have frozen ginger. Can I use it?

Hi there. I’m not sure if the frozen ginger will have a different texture. The fresh holds its shape, I don’t know if the frozen will too. You might have to experiment to see if it works. Thanks for watching!

I saw a very informative video. Your presentation is very nice. Note that the video is a bit long If you have experience on how to make full sugar ginger candy for diabetics please make a video Another question is how long can these candies be stored and how to store them?
@suzyrebelo
6 ай бұрын
Hi there. The monkfruit sugar is diabetic friendly and used in many sugar free recipes. However, the sugar free version or monkfruit version of these ginger candies don’t last as long. A few weeks in cool place. The sugar cane version lasts a few months because the sugar cane does a great job of preserving them. Hope this helps and thanks for watching
I believe I cooked the last phase too long. I plan to make it again.

Carbs are good for you but not too much. I checked the sugar content in store made versions. Holy moly way too much.
