    Thanks so much. The ginger made with monk fruit sugar alternative only keeps for a few weeks unlike the sugar cane which keeps for a very long time. If you make small batches you can consume them quickly and don’t don’t have to worry about storage that much. Also, if you live in a very humid climate they are best kept in the fridge. Thanks for watching!

    I am so glad to did a video on making ginger. I buy candied ginger at my local health food store. I could absolutely eat the entire bag the minute I get it. My mother always had a jar of candied ginger in the house. I don't like eating all the sugar so I want to try the monk fruit. Hopefully I will love it just as much. Thank you Suzy 🤗🤗🤗

    @suzyrebelo Hi Suzy, is freezing a good option for the sugar free ginger pieces? Thinking of making a large batch, then using small amounts from the freezer to thaw and use for baking or snacks? Thanks

  • @suzyrebelo

    @suzyrebelo

    6 ай бұрын

    Hi there. I believe it will thaw soft if you freeze it. I placed mine in a jar after it was thoroughly dried and it kept it in the fridge. However, I used it up within a few weeks. You could also vacuum seal it and that should keep it for a long while too. The key is to keep it very dry…moisture can create mold.

    Just a note, the sugar free sweeteners don’t preserve the ginger like sugarcane. Therefore, make enough to consume within a week or two. It might keep longer depending on what you use but keep an eye on it. These are so nice for a dry or sore throat, as well as, being very delicious too. Thanks for watching

    I saw a very informative video. Your presentation is very nice. Note that the video is a bit long If you have experience on how to make full sugar ginger candy for diabetics please make a video Another question is how long can these candies be stored and how to store them?

  • @suzyrebelo

    @suzyrebelo

    Hi there. The monkfruit sugar is diabetic friendly and used in many sugar free recipes. However, the sugar free version or monkfruit version of these ginger candies don’t last as long. A few weeks in cool place. The sugar cane version lasts a few months because the sugar cane does a great job of preserving them. Hope this helps and thanks for watching
