I beg to differ on assuming someone is ignoring you when you mention your insecurities. Friendship has to be about knowing each other, some people are socially awkward and fail to say anything when conversations get deeper. Some people talk about their insecurities just for the sake of saying them and they don’t need any advice or anything and hence assume everyone is like that. I would say COMMUNICATE. Let your friend know how that makes you feel and maybe how you would want them to respond next time you mention about your insecurities. I hope we embrace saying out loud what we feel and stop assuming people will automatically know how you want to be treated.

Kumbe lynne wewe ni kama tu mimi. Unaangalia tu photos zimepostiwa. I had a very close friend a relative we used to share and love each other so much but this one day l told her she really needs to improve herself for her marriage to work l didnt know l had said bad she left a chama l am today she doest reply my text and lf l cal her she will say niko kwa jam or abit busy will cal back but wapi she doesn't . I texted her am sorry incase l wronged or said anthing she didnt like but wapi. Anyway l miss her but l let her go coz l cant force her. Am happy for you too at least communication is key dont be too proud to say am sorry or forgive your friend. No one is perfect.
