This could have been a very special moment in American Idol's history. I love Nicki Minaj and all but I think Mariah Carey should have been the only female on the judge panel because of this. There could have been a lot of special moments on this show. I think the American Idol producers messed up this one a bit with the drama between the two divas. Mariah Carey had a lot to bring to the table and could have turned this show into a beautiful time and about the music.

+ChupiChups None of those "vocalists" are considered DIVAS in the music industry. what people don't understand is that DIVA doesn't refer to their attitudes. it refers to the soul and meaning in their songs and vocals. Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, and Ariana Grande ARE NOT DIVAS! Aretha Franklin, Céline Dion, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston are the 4 main DIVAS. there are more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

i'm sorry you guyssss but am i the only one who's not fond of this performance? Compared to the original it just feels so vanilla and bland to me. Obviously she can sing, but to sing this song and do amazing you have to either a) have a better voice than Mariah or Whitney (probably impossible) OR b) sing it in a totally different way to make it unrecognizable...she did neither I think :/
