My poor son was ridiculed in front of his 7th grade class for holding the door open saying “ladies first”. We’ve taught him how to be a gentleman. I spoke to the school and pulled him out.

Love this interview, a friend of mine was walking into a university and held the door open for the woman approaching. She absolutely berated him for thinking she couldn't do that herself. The next day coincidentally they came to the same door again, this time she had a big stack of books, as she approached he let the door go, of course she dropped all her books and shouted obscenities at him for allowing the door to close. Her turned back to her, and further annoyed her by saying, lady yesterday you yelled at me for keeping it open I just did as you told me - she was not impressed but the point was made.

I think for America he is the best shot for a better future. US politics effects the whole world, and this stuff matters to us in Europe too - even though we don't get to vote 😉

I squatted down to clean him up and people were just pushing past us.. my 2 yr old kept trying to pull away.. this gentleman stopped and asked to help me, and held my daughters hand while I cleaned up my son, then took me to my connecting flight, got us situated before he left.. I will never forget his kindness.

The garage was accidentally left open. I could hear my hubby opening every door. And I felt so grateful for his courage and I felt like he had control of the situation. And I was so proud of him. And when he came back to bed I said thank you and complimented his manhood. I did not take his courage for granted.

The fact that society today has gotten so far away from biblical teachings is worrisome to say the least. Go Candace. You speak truth. Here's a story of man's lack of manners. I was going to the post office after church and I arrived at the door at the same time as a man. I stopped & he waited for me to open the door. I told him I don't open doors for men. He said it's 2020s. I said I didn't care what year it was, men should be gentlemen. He then agreed & opened the door.

A married woman who was devoted to her husband wouldn't do that. Unless it's common with your generation, to let other guys pick up and HUG your girlfriend the way Salim did to Candace. Wow! Mic drop, standing ovation! So well said. Women asked for what we’ve gotten ourselves into. Yes, very rare to find a man that assists with the kids, laundry, shopping, full time job, cleaning the house and the list goes on and on. Plus most women don’t even get paid as much as men do. I too grew up like you, my father and grandfather were the leaders of the house and finances. My mother and grandmother took care of the kids (mostly), house, meals, etc. Life was great. The boys nowadays don’t even care if they can support their families. I should say their children. Because I think the percentages are most children are not raised by both parents. It’s really quite sad. Nice to hear you live in Tennessee, so do I. Must be something in the water. God bless you and your family.

Agree with everything you said except for equal pay. At all my jobs women get paid equally if not more then the man does. Obviously credentials and degrees come into play but in terms of equality in America women are there with men. Except for the courts women will always have more power in the court system and leniency than men do. For a murder case the same thing a man does may get 20 to life while a woman will only get 5-15. Its crazy. And im not saying this to come at anybody its just what ive learned from experience
