You are so brave. And this is a really important video to remind us all to get the annual exams and do our at home exams. I have no history in my family either but your message reminds me not to count on that. THANK YOU for just being you. 🙋

Thank you. I was one of those who didn't think it could happen to me since there wasn't any history in my family. All the things they keep telling us about early detection and annual exams is so important.

Still praying for you, Granny. 💜 1 in 8 women get breast cancer? That's horrible.

The statistics are pretty shocking, but the odds of recovery are getting better all the time. There are other risk factors, but women need to know and be proactive to take care of themselves.

I had a lumpectomy and a lymph node dissection. I was in and out the same day and have been doing very well since. I'm very glad my video was helpful for you. Having your brother there will help, my granddaughter went with me. Take notes and trust your doctor to know what is best for you.

Hi granny, happy to see your in good spirits, I've had 1 person in my family that had breast cancer and 1 who got chemotherapy due to a different type of cancer I dont remember what it was though, it was pretty scary for me at that time to hear those words. but both are still alive who were affected.

Medical science has come a long way since I was a young person. Today the average 5-year survival rate for breast cancer is 83%. Those are pretty hopeful statistics. I'm glad your family members are doing well.

I've been catching up on videos after my long absence and ran into this one. I had no idea and I apologize for not keeping in touch better. I'm so glad to hear that your surgery went well and I'm praying the chemo will finish the job. Get well soon, my friend, and fight like a girl. 🎗

PNW Granny lad they got all of the cancer. They put a Pic Line in you. I had one a few years ago when I had surgery because of my poor health it was hard to find veins. You are in my Prayers you’re good people, that’s the opinion I’ve made from seeing you on Pounder’s Live Streams and here. The flowers you showed during the video are very pretty. Have a nice weekend.

That is what happened to me too. I was told I would only live 3 years, miracle would be 5 years. I guess I am just meaner than the cancer because I am at year 11 now. Good wishes going your way and if you need to talk, give me a call.

I was one of the lucky ones. Chemo didn't make me sick. Toward the end, I did get neutropenia but after that, I got antibiotics to take 5 days before and 5 days after and that did the trick.

I've been watching YT videos made by Joan Lunden and she said that her mouth sores were painful and she used crushed ice to keep them at bay. I've been getting a lot of helpful tips by watching videos and I keep learning new things about this disease. I've started a notebook with all the tips I've found. Thank you, I'll add that one to the list.

When I received the "red devil" they gave me ice to eat the whole time so that I didn't get sores. And, I didn't. You most likely will be given a medicine that is for break thru nausea. One night I was feeling bad, nothing to pin point but feeling bad. I decided to take the break thru pill and in 20 minutes, I will feeling wonderful.
