When you said you stopped helping people…oh man, I couldn’t agree more. When I look back on my life, I’ve noticed that pattern specifically. Every person I’ve ever bended over backwards for…with the intention and hope to push them forward in life…has always turned on me in the worst ways. It’s paradoxical, because I believe you should treat people as you want to be treated and I also believe that I should leave things better than I found it….I’ve applied that my whole life- but the people I specifically help betray me….I’ve gotten to a point where I just let things be.

Your so spot on .. i have to tell you bits you picked up ..once again i let my toxic older sister in out of the 5 of penticles giving up hours days even helping her with her court cSe and other things ....my son is flying home for visit after being deployed for a long time ...anyway she acted just as you say ...she abandon her kids when they were still little ..smh. But it was a valuble lesson for me to finally let go .

I know who this person is.I’ve treated her as a “sister” and had seen red flags about her. I still forgive her but this time round, I’m cutting her off and walking away . So done with her insecurities ,when my conversations and purposes mostly with her , are genuine and sincere. She’s an ex colleague and “ sister “ . Now she’s just a garbage.
