Rafe is magnificent. He really should be a Royal Advisor as opposed to a Royal correspondent. Rafe has supreme legal ability which makes him a top KC.

one of the first things that came to mind when I heard about the King's cancer diagnosis, was what happened to his great great grandfather Edward VII. he was also a long serving Prince of Wales and two days before he was due to be crowned, he was diagnosed with appendicitis, which in the early 1900s was a dangerous disease. But he was successfully operated on and the delayed Coronation went ahead and he reigned for 9 years till his death in 1910

Sad news, hopefully King Charles will be alright. Hope your well Rafe

Rafe Heydel-Mankoo should be Sir Rafe Heydel-Mankoo. I only grew to admire Charles (and begrudgingly so) after he became King Charles III. I thought The Monarchy was yesterday’s history but The King is proof there’s many years history still to come and long may it continue. Seeing The King it’s not difficult to realize he is the grandson of King George VI and for me that’s awesome. 👍🇿🇦

Very good point. We hear all about clean living to avoid illness but no matter how we try hard, sneaky illness attacks and we go in life by the grace of God. Yes it is better to avoid the bad things in life but every person is different in how they ward off illness. I wish good health to everyone.

Regardless of Royal titles, everyone in the Royal Family should be obliged to step in and help. They have all had the benefit of the privileges of being brought up in the family and they should ALL give something back.

What I can’t understand is why don’t they reduce the Charities or the core of the work ? They are still attending them and taken on Andrew’s and Harry’s load it’s ridiculous and no wonder there is a burn out stress is a hidden Killer which in recent years has been increased by the Harkles behaviour plus sadly they have the genes in the family of this disease ,commonsense prevails .Rethink their duties no one will think any less of them we have worked out they are not robots 🤷‍♀️

Sad news indeed about King Charles, I wish him a speedy recovery and I know many people who have the same issues and many have survived. He should stop drinking all those rich wines and stay off alcohol completely, just look at his swollen nose and face completion.

But that does not mean that we should use screach and preach, quality not quantity.

Head of state - yes there should be one of those, but if it's going to be him then his dealings with the Qataris need investigating by an impartial third country. "Head of the nation" he ruled himself out of the first time he committed adultery. If his wife couldn't trust him how can the country. And no you don't get to live that down and put it in the past - that's why the ancients put a divine commandment against it. Faced with the recurring practical impossibility of rehabilitating adulterers on earth, they had to hope that Someone Else can sort them all out in the hereafter. I gave up my loyalty to the crown when our Queen died. Our King was always unfit and weak to reign and I suspect that is why our Queen held on so long. The son's are no better. Both weak woke men who have done nothing of substance to show us they are worthy. The only saving grace is Kate & the children. I would rather see young George on the throne than any of them.
