CANCER GCSE Biology 9-1 | Combined Sci (Revision & Questions)
Cancer is a common disease and nearly everyone knows someone who has been affected by it. In this video, we’ll look at what cancer is.
Workbook: emmatheteachie.co.uk/product/...
Mindmap: emmatheteachie.co.uk/product/...
We’ll start by looking at the two types of tumours: benign and malignant, discussing the difference between them.
Next, we’ll briefly look at the two main treatment options for cancer - radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Then we’ll look at the risk factors for cancers, including lifestyle factors and genetic factors.
Next up are the quick questions - there is a bit of overlap with Topic 1: Cell Biology so I’ll test what you remember from that too! Finally, I’ll go over the answers so you can mark yours / see if what you thought was right.
I hope you found this video useful - if you need support with cancer, e.g. a family member or friend has it, visit macmillan.org.uk - they have a variety of help services to help support you. I also really recommend talking to someone you trust and sharing how you are feeling.
Thank you for watching & let me know if you have any questions.
