actually the fighting designs were used in kingdom hearts fight for friends on the switch. these assets later go repurposed into disney dream light valley.

I thought BBS volume 2 would take place after KH3 now that that trio is back together, and we still don't understand a lot about Ventus/Vanitas and even still some things about Terra.

Ooooohhhh!! That in the beginning concept art looks super interesting! Makes me wonder if it was something of a prototype to Ux or perhaps Missing Link. Bit of stretch, but you never know. Hope we actually get a full on KH art book here in the west sometime soon. The ultimanias were fine and all, but a good chunk of the behind the scenes/official artwork took up the last 3rd of the book, if that.

We all know Tetsuya Nomura! They gave us a teaser in kh3 remind with the wayfinder trio going into the realm of darkness. Birth by sleep volume 2 will happen. I feel it!

I don't think I want the direction to be "all trios exclusively go on missions with their respective trios" I think the cast should be more blended moving forward. Now that everyone's back and they're all familiar, I'd love to see the characters interact with others and be put on missions with others, which is way more realistic. I'd love to see character interactions between Roxas and Riku, or Roxas and Ventus, or even Axel and Ventus.

It did feel like they wanted to make an MMO about the keyblade war.

Honestly, a stand-alone Gumi Ship has some serious potential. The story could be something similar to Kari and company looking for Sora. While the gameplay could be a mix of the on rail levels of Kingdom Hearts 2 and open world gameplay of Kingdom Hearts 3. This hypothetical game would have some insane multiplayer potential with players building ships and competing in different game modes.

Fragmented keys actually had a bomb AF gumi ship editing system.

Love hearing about the development behind KH. It’s always a mess and it’s charm is in that.

I'm still pissed that Fragmentary Passage (aka BBS volume 2) was cut down to be a [crusty looking] tech demo and not a full game [and in the original engine] as originally intended

I hope we get wreck it Ralph in kH4

I would hope for a BBS 2 since we still havent gotten a fleshed out version of Ven and Terra playstyles(I dont count mods).Its story could revolve around whatever the trio was doing in the ROD while searching for Sora/a means to find him.

I knew it there was definitely a star wars world in kh fragments keys unfinished with the star wars world missing the one Nomura didn't add to the list. And the same thing for Atlantics the lost empire too.

you can totally tell the idea for yazora came from Versus 13 and Noctis its very obvious noctis was most likely gonna be in KH3 with a similar plot

Man I'm still hoping for another kh game where you not play sora and after the ending of kh3 there are so many possibilities like another game where you play Aqua Terra and Ven uncovering more about the lost masters and daybreak town or maybe a game about Kairi and her journey to truly become a great keyblade wielder I also always thought it would be awesome if instead of Donald and Goofy Kairi would travel with Daisy and Minnie or another possibility being a new game about Roxas Lea and Xion but if it's supposed to be something fresh the Kairi idea is my favorite

Speaking of Verizon phone games, Devil May Cry was surprisingly fun.

Super interesting! I especially loved the concept art, and worlds we could have had, for Fragmented Keys. It's a shame we didn't get these, but I think some things worked out for the better. Thank you for researching these topics and spreading the word! ❤️ I would love to see a proper BBS Vol. 2 with the Wayfinder Trio in the future, to see where they're heading. We now know Ventus' backstory, but I've always wanted to know where Terra and Aqua came from, and how they met before BBS, so that would be interesting to explore. Maybe you could theorize on that in a future video, if you haven't already! ☺️

Fragmented keys actually played like a normal kh game and story progression. Similar combat. Except it had a zip mode that you could use grind to different areas in a map

Been saying it for awhile, KH and Versus were going to be combined at some point. So that's why Verum Rex doesn't surprise me. Likely Verum Rex might have been fully greenlit recently too. Can't wait ^^

At the end of verum rex the secret boss will be sora coming at you with all his keyblade forms

Also Union X and Dark Road got cancelled in a way, but were kept as story repositories. I feel like BbS pt2 would fall after 4 because after accerating training for Kairi and Lea/Axel, I wonder if merlin amd the good fairies have enough power to do the same to retrain Ven and Terra, I also wonder if Former Master Yen Sid would be their trainer. I have a feeling that Mickey, Donald, and Goofy will join the main trio, so King Mickey would be out of the question to be their (Ven and Terra's) trainer.

I honestly don't remember the timeline exactly, but it felt like it took place right before the third game. The gameplay was incredibly smooth and I have never felt a mobile game be so smooth since. They had a grinding function where you could zip grind all over the town mopping the floor with the enemies. I was I had gotten gameplay footage before the game was taken offline.

The kingdom hearts vcast soundtrack be giving twisted wonderland vibes, and it says a lot considering they're both partially from Disney

The fandom'll lose it if Nomura mentions in KH4 Ultimania how the concept of bridging a Versus XIII aesthetic world with KH was that mystery game. It's hard to fathom how different things could've been if that mystery game was made instead of DDD. But I mean, essentially it could work. Just replace going to Sleeping Worlds for Mark of Mastery Exam with going to "weird realistic world." Neku's comment about Shibuya could've been a remnant of the idea, unbeknownst to any of us 🧐. It's the longest of long shots. But, it'd be hilarious if the cancelation of Versus XIII, inadvertently led to the unearthing of this "...what?" idea for KH, with the added ability to save some Versus XIII ideas and put it all in KH4. Either way, now amped myself up to hear his secrets about coming up with unreality (and the very touchy SE subject of Versus XIII, that he's slowly allowed to say by name again) that we'll probably only hear in the KH4 Ultimania unless he can mention it in interviews leading up to KH4.

Wasn't there some bat shit insane rumor that stated that Final Fantasy: Versus XIII was actually supposed to tie into Kingdom Hearts at one point? Because KH having Fabula Nova Crystalis lore would have been insane.

well re chain of memoreis are a total diffrent game, just same story, i mean its redone from scratch to another platform. but he chi, union and dark road should be the same, and isnt melody of memories a DLC to kh3?

@@StrikeDuelist if CoM and ReCoM are different games then 3D Dream Drop Distance and HD Dream Drop Distance should be concluded different games as well, but that's still a remanatered, and since they lost the original KH1 files because bad archiving habits of 2000s, then kingdom Hearts 1.5 re:mix should also be a different game since they remade most if the game from re:verse re:engeering a retail copy of the game

Seems to me that BBS 2 was just broken up into Coded, DDD and 0.2. As much as I love 0.2 I’m not sure how you could really expand that much on what we got and I think it works way better as the prologue to KH3 like twilight Town was for KH2. I play it that way despite it being broken off but it lets people who want to just jump right into KH3 on subsequent playthroughs.

Vcast is actually an interesting concept

If you look at all the titles minus chain of memory’s and only counting re:chain memories since they both tell same story but re:chain adds new things that all 13 games xehanort is in all 13 games in some shape even he’s previous life or xenanort medals in game or form even melody of memories flashback even fight him seems like our favorite Director wanted to add him in the last game bump him up to that magic 13 number he loves 😏 I wouldn’t say he’d do anymore flashbacks for xehanort or data version cutscene’s maybe they mention he’s name in conversation or data studies future games help process something they looking for. There is the chance he’d show up on recording video studies if KH team wants that but yeah so far now 13 games showed up past life or different forms or young or old or data or memories version of him

@@Gamefit28 Perhaps they cancelled it because they decided to move it to KH4. People have been wanting Star Wars for a long time, so it would make sense to have it on one of the main games instead of the side ones.

Treasure Planet & Atlantis would be the tits. I know people hated Atlantis, but I thought it was ok Treasure Planet might be possible, especially since Treasure Island is public domain & won’t have any roadblocks

Kingdom Hearts Missing Link. It's a mobile gacha game and is meant to explain the missing link between Unionx and Dark Road. It will be 3D and have features similar to pokemon go with exploring through AR. There is no release date for it.

Disney only kh games ar cançelt becaus of Nomura Nonura ist involfed in them AMD ultimatly if He says No disney has to kinda let These Things go. Its a colaboration and anything without square means it cant be kingdom hearts. They even say they dont realy own kh nomura does
