Sety The rumor is that a lot of features they were previously relying on got removed from the version of the Source Engine that Portal 2 runs on. (The ability to Duck Jump among those.)

One would just think to then work around those limitations or find ways to replicate something similar. For the duck jump issue just make maps which don't require it.

God I alwayts loved the aesthetic of Blue Portals. The off-white creme colour was always more comfy to play with than the sterile eeriness of the original facility.

This is amazing!!! It's hard to tell if it is animated or not, but it is defiantly something VALVe should add in if they make Portal 3

was watching this thinking it was cool and around 4:10 You use some serious magic, i cant even... 9_9

The aesthetic looks so good! The yellow tone that everything has is amazing, the greens and blues used are also really pretty on top of that, the only part I thought didn’t fit were the red ‘fire’ / ‘explosive’ / purple ‘energy physics’ cubes, I thought they were a bit TOO red and purple which looked too bold in colour, other than that, the lovely matching hues were perfect.

I still long for the day someone will finish and release the mod; this just seems so beautiful.

First off.. WOW those edits .. mods?.. whatever they are they're awesome. I couldn't stop pondering the ways new challenges could be made with these. Also, when I saw that cube change shape near the end.. my mind blew.

With Steam Greenlight (introduced after this video), this could easily come back to be a reality! A single-man project is just too much to bear. Seeing how Portal Stories Mel, Portal 2 Backstock, Aperture Tag, and Thinking with Time Machine are Portal 2 mods available because Steam Greenlight, Blue Portals 2 should be too. Bring it back to life because you got help available to you now.

Portal is more than Just puzzles

I'm aware you've cancelled this, but I need to ask about the heat cubes. Were they custom entities, or do you just parent a trigger_multiple to them when they spawn that kills the turrets when they activate it? (Either way, nice job on the custom textures!)

I know you posted a month ago, but you might still want to know. As far as I know, there are triggers attatched to the cubes which cause them to interact with things. That is definitely the case with Blue Portals 1. Custom entities would be very hard to implement since there is no official SDK for the Portal games.

Well that's a damn shame, really, these levels look beautiful,the idea of oil instead of Propulsion Gel is excellent, The Pneumatic Diversity Vents work great with that certain cube, and you even found a great and creative use for the Electric Gel, I understand why it will never get released but still, it would've been great to play through these levels or at least see some of these cubes and what not in some Portal 2 maps. Best of luck with future projects you all. :)

@BigBrother1993 No, The Sixense parts were test demos. The actual mod never required the Sixense. Also note that none of these levels are from the actual mod.

Reepblue, i honestly think this is a great peice of work. Maybe one day, a miracle will come, and a new modding method would come. and then you can continue this.

The mods are awesome implemented and well done. But they just feel completely redundant and adds too many things to think about that could easily be solved with the tools already available in the base game. I think the only mod I've seen that would really make a huge and interesting difference to the game would be the clingy gel that allows you to walk on walls. It would add another dimension to the gameplay, which presents its own rather difficult challenges, but I'm sure the developers or some really smart people can think of a way to introduce it simply to players while keeping the levels compact, concise and minimal. I think it would be cool if the designers made a DLC pack like that.

That was a thing in Portal 2, but they decided to take it out because of it causing nausea.

I've seen that first chamber hanging around the workshop, I forgot what it was called though

Hey reep, sorry to bug you, but I see that you've got actual *hands!* on your Portalgun. Did you release those for regular ol' Portal 2?

I know that this is old news and that it's 2 GB of stuff, but have you considered passing on the torch, if you catch my drift, or maybe uploading a small part of it? I mean, who knows, this could still live on in some form, even if modding for Portal 2 isn't the most efficient.
