This was the first time in over 10 years that I did not participate in our annual neighborhood sale. The looks on the peoples' faces as they came by eagerly wanting to make purchases was unbelievable! The disappointment in their voices and comments they made were just as shocking! So many of them would buy all of their toothpastes, mouthwashes, body washes, shampoos and make up for the entire year and assumed they would do it all again! In years' past I would charge $1/toothpaste and shampoo. Last year I raised the Shampoo and conditioner sets to 2/$3! People complained. I remembered!!!!! I, too, decided it was worth more to me and my family to hang on to what I have. It is so true that the deals and available coupons aren't what they used to be and I am fearful it is a sign of things to come. Maybe next year my dear customers; but get ready for $2 Toothpaste, maybe $3! Great Video Rach!

Hey Bev, this is sign of times. Lots of couponers are the MOST generous ppl, but it can't come with a big oop.

I keep what i need and either sell, gift to friends and family as gifts,or make baskets for my church ; I only keep a small inventory of what i use or need since lots of things get old or expires. I believe that God always provides, doors will close, others will open. I am the half full kind If person when it come to it.

I’ve never sold anything. I buy for my household. I feel for people who rely on it to help family or make a little cash. 😢

My grandmother had a great saying roughly translated to English. It means you can’t feed the neighbors kids if yours are hungry aka take care of your home first one years worth is a great idea I need storage space for paper goods

I believe the crime rate has everything to do with the Walgreens that are closing. Someone commented that the Walgreens in her town/state was closing. I looked up the crime rate it was high. It happened in a high crime area in Boston, too.

So far, where I am, none of my stores are closing, I consider myself extremely lucky. I always keep a separate stockpile for my family and my immediate extended family. So all the extras get sold. But this is still a valid point for those that live in the affected areas.

Reading through these comments, I see a common denominator. In my opinion it is getting harder to coupon. More out of pocket and some weeks at certain stores, the deals just aren't good enough to do. I see it when I watch other You tube couponing channels. So, I agree with what Running Kimono said. It's sad, but with inflation, it's a different world now.

Although I never had a stockpile yard sale, I stopped giving bundles to people. Great deals are few & far between. I tell people that couponing is not what it used to be. We are paying more & more out of pocket. I will still help family when I can.

No no no ; I never resale. Had allot of trouble finding certain items during COVID so I keep it all . Plus many stores are closing & it’s getting way harder / more difficult to coupon . Plus let’s not even talk about shrink flation ; many items are way smaller & more expensive. I say keep it all because only time can tell the future.

Agree! I haven’t been listing any detergent on marketplace lately. I don’t really sell paper products either because eventually we will use them and they don’t expire.

I wish I had a stock pile.I try to find items to stockpile when they do the clearance events at DG but employees and managers evidently pull the Laundry Products and Paper Products for themselves and leave nothing for the Customers. 😢😢

Great video. I just got home from couponing at the DG. It is getting harder and harder to save. Ive been couponing for 17 yrs and its not what it use to be. Its so aggravating when the digitals dont come off or you dont receive your earn cash back. Im organizing my stock room today. No more give aways here!! I love when you do these kind of videos ❤

25 yrs Cvs for me, I just started Wags, when they were buying Rite Aid out .3 yrs ago, Rite Aid 75% off & my coupons ..

The amount of people that try to low ball you on reselling is crazy! Literally trying to get detergent for $1 a bottle. And I’m like, “Whhhhaaaaatttt?” It’s a no for me. But I will say that I bought a few bottles of Tide Simply at a DG clearance sale and it was bad. A funky merky color and the smell was just “off”. So that was a waste. No telling how long that was on their shelf and could have potentially been sitting on mine if I had a GIANT stockpile. Just saying. This stuff does go bad.

I’m going to keep my stockpile. Cause I don’t have a large stockpile, but I’m thinking of the what I went through when COVID .

My daughter keeps trying to give away my stockpile and I keep chasing her off. My stockpile has gotten me through many tough times. I've been couponing for about 35 years and my stockpile help me have the money to buy things I might not otherwise purchase (craft stuff).

Thanks for notifying folks. I did see the article about Walgreens closing 10% of their stores. It's imperative that we prepare. I'm going to piggy back off of your video and go a little deeper with this and share some ideas with folks on how to. I hope that you don't mind. Sometimes people just need a plan to execute.

I used to stockpile and sell only to my teacher friends. They all appreciated it. I didn’t get rich reselling, I just loved couponing and sharing it. Now I rarely have enough to share. 😢

Yup! Cvs couponing isn’t the same for me anymore so I hardly go unless I get a cvs $ off my purchase I take advantage of that free 3 or 4 dollars to grab a free or cheap item. Dollar General no longer has the free toothpaste deals so before with prices going up but coupon amount going down. Walgreens possibly closing, walmart ibotta doesn’t have amazing items as before, i use to stock up on the small blue all detergent under $4 with the $2 back at a limit of 5, and they stopped adding the deal in ibotta. It’s been a struggle recently

I went to CVS Thursday and got a $5/$25 spend threshold crt and I was floored I haven't gotten one in awhile couponing isn't the same at all.

I did well when my local Rite Aid closed and stocked up! I am using all for my family.

I never thought that the idea of many Walgreens and CVS's in my area were good. Some of those stores where on opposite corners of the street. All the Rite Aids have closed by me (NJ). My personal opinion is stockpiling things like laundry detergent and eye make up as I personally feel that those things will lose the power over time or the make up will be bad to use. I've never resell my stock pile as mine isn't as large and I kind of think it unethical in the area of taxes. Don't know about that. I buy things to donate to my local food closet so that people who are struggling will be able to get some body wash, shampoo , deodorant and razors, Plus I will take what I pay for those things off my taxes as they are donations.

This should already be the thinking, even if the stores weren't closing. Keep a stockpile, being mindful of expiration dates, and keeping the stuff where it doesn't freeze. If any of you are Dave Ramsey fans, he suggests having an emergency fund of at least 6 months in savings. Same principal should apply for personal care items. Once that is established, keep buying when possible, sell off old stock that is still within date, where applicable.

I wanted to sell my detergent bc I had some turn into sludge on me (was the cheap simply tides) and I didn’t want to risk holding onto it. but then I saw how we haven’t gotten any for free lately via RA so I thought I should hold onto it, with everything going on in the world. but also if sociwty truly does crumble I can’t exactly eat or use detergent as a firearm yea ?😂

I coupon for myself and don't resell. You never know what is going to happen. A few years ago when I started couponing you could buy tide pods for a dollar with coupons, look at how much things have went up!

Every coupons need to keep their stocks piled thing is getting harder harder out here prices going up on every thing it not worth it to sell your stock pile no more people want your stuff for little or nothing it hard an harder these day so please keep your stock pile we not getting coupons no more any way just your coupons on your phone be smart
