I'll be honest - when I started watching this video I immediately assumed that someone else will be driving the Defender. Boy was I wrong. He literally answered the phone while picking it up with his foot... Blown away. I actually watched the whole video just to see what else he can do. I bet he has some fun stories to tell.

I just wonder what the brakes were like with the load of hay from 63mph to a stop in an emergency. My brother a UK film stunt man that specialised in vehicle preparation and stunt driving, he was often hired by the UKs government vehicle to test vehicle capabilities'.

You said it as I was about to comment on it , but your right the defender would suit a livestock operation , more so the sheep guys or the smaller units , could use as substitute for a bigger truck if you weren’t to far from town . Good one again , enjoy the fair .

My boss has one of those and I’ve had it in a worse hill than that, and it has a 2 inch lift kit all aroudn and a full size bed air compressor and other fencing items, and it hasn’t tipped over yet

Really enjoyed this video! Mr. Detwiler you are in tremendous shape, how many men do you know they can step down off of a hay rack like you did.

You can have all the rain we have been getting in northwest Ohio. We got around 5 inches the other day. I have a 2020 defender hd8 xt. My tailgate just has one latch like a pickup truck. The only reason that model is like that is because the sides come off. When your hauling heavy loads in the bed your supposed to be in low range.

Do you think 2 round bales would have fit with a strap? Looked close? Setting the round bale in there sure gave a better perspective on the size of this beast! Should have taken it to the show and thrown a couple couches in back for the riders!😃

John, it handled it great. I was suprised. When I passed Kylie with the load on the road, I was going 55 mph. I really like the machine.
