I just picked up a 2018 HD8 w this plow and the tracks. Soft cab and heat. Can't wait for the Minnesota snow! Smart move on moving the switch. I definitely need to do that. Were the plow guides a must?

Its a great plow! The guides help see the plow corners better when seated in the cab. Not needed but a nice addition. Hopefully soon ill have tracks for the little bit of snow we get here in Michigan!

Did you mount the magnetic switch that turns the winch off so you don't brake the cable? Did you mount it below the plastic on the bottom or above it?

I did not mount it. Its still in the package. Honestly looking at the install instructions it looked like a pain so I just left it off.

@@mdavidson2183I have a commander, the magnet mount on the plow seems simple enough but I can't find instructions on mounting the switch. I think I need to remove the plastic front which means removing the bumper, winch and fairlead. Bit of a pain alright...
