Canadian Tries an Irish Breakfast Roll for the First Time

Ойын-сауық

I worked with an Irish expat and he told me of this magical breakfast, and my inner fat kid was immediately excited! There's so much good stuff on this sandwich, how can you not get excited!?

Looked pretty good, but probably needs eggs. A fry up without eggs, is like a greyhound without legs. Grilled or fried tomatoes helps to wet it all up a bit, too.

Steak sauce IS NOT an insult.. I never understood that way of thinking... Man a nice Porterhouse or Ribeye smotherd with mushrooms and onions, and topped off with some A1 Steak sauce.. Perhaps a loaded baked potato on the side with butter, cheddar, sour cream, chives, saltn and pepper! Heaven

I enjoyed all of that, but to add steak sauce is just bad. A top-quality steak is best with a basic pan sauce, it adds back to the steak, A1 introduces a new overpowering flavor to cover up bad or low quality meat. That's where we differ.

It definitely looked dry on-camera so I can only imagine how it was to choke those bites down. Still, a good idea with a few tweaks that could make it better like maybe a softer roll that doesn't need as much greasing up and, yes, a nice runny egg on it.

Once the beans went on, it was pretty easy to eat. A nice runny egg would have been fantastic!

We don't put maple syrup on as much stuff as we lead you to believe, we use ketchup much more often 😜
