The most beautiful place I have ever visited. I live in the Netherlands and have visited the Canadian Rockies 5 times now. The last time was back in 2018 when I rented an RV and spent 18 days along the Icefields Parkway. Doing lots of hikes. Looks like you had a great time.

Emily, thank you so much for this wonderful video! It gives me a lot of memories. I’m from Germany and did a trip very similar to yours back in 1988 together with my parents and my sister. We came from Seattle and saw these breathtaking National Parks, Lake Louise and this wonderful landscape on a trip in a huge Southwind motorhome, going on from there further to Yellowstone, and back to Seattle. Now my girls are 15 and 17 years and sadly loose some interest in holidays with their parents… 😢 but it warms my heart and gives me some hope to see you and your sister, some few years older, doing this still with your parents. Maybe we will also be able to show our girls these wonderful nature some day…

Looked like an amazing family trip! I hope to to this with my family one day… I might be able to convince my siblings at least lol! Funny you mention not liking crowds while on vacation, Shawn mentioned the same in one of the podcasts. Crowds can be fun depending on the destination, but 9 times out of 10 I agree with you both, the quiet is much more enjoyable especially when in nature.
