In Germany, Dagobert is the uncle of Donald Duck

Are grit boxes not a thing in Canada? They're dotted all over Germany next to public streets and roads, and as the name suggests, they're used to store grit that can be used by the municipal road maintenance teams to grit the roads and pavement in winter.

Three kings of the Merovingian dynasty wore that name between 608 and 715 AD as well as Archbishop Dagobert of Pisa, who became in 1099 the first Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem after the first crusade. Grit boxes: Container containing grit for use in black ice (or similar) situations, installed at certain places along the street. Mostly for use by municipal workers, they are often left open, so that citizens can grit the sidewalk themselves.

- the scrooge with the 3 ghost is called the same name in the "Weihnachtsgeschichte" by C.D. in Germany as well ^^ - the scrooge with the 3 nephews ia called Dagobert McDuck and his nephews are called Tick, Trick and Track ... also they live in the same city as Micky Mouse in the German Versions ^^ - still got about 50 "lustige Taschenbücher" in my bookshelf ^^ - a grit-box is the orange-toped box in the image at 08:12 ... it's a normal sight in snowy areas and contains grit/sand for the pavement and streets have fun ^^

Also, soviel ich weiß leben doch sowohl Micky Maus, Goofy und Konsorten als auch der - zumindest urbane - Duck-Clan in Entenhausen, also derselben Stadt.

There was a moevie script already written at the year 1994, but was changed after he was taken into custody, called "Das Phantom - Die Jagd nach Dagobert / The Phantom - The Hunt after Dagobert/Scrooge", where his cousin played the role of Arno Funke. Also one time he tried getting money via a radio controlled RC Car, which failed in the end, because it got stuck/fell over

3:50 during the devide between west and east germany, you were only able to travel per highway or train to the western part of berlin which was deeply in eastern territory. I imagine he instructed them to drop the money while the train was in eastern territory where western forces couldnt operate.

btw the reason why Scrooge mcduck is called dagobert in german is Erika Fuchs she thought that Ebenezer Scrooge is to unkown in germany and instead names him after Dagobert Merowinger a notoriously greedy king
