Canadian 80's Commercials (CFTO Toronto 1982)

Commercials that aired during the Sunday Movie Matinee on CFTO Toronto (Paramount Presents) Early 1982 I believe, but am unsure of the exact year. Definitely the oldest recording I have come across and was blown away by the quality of the tape. Enjoy :)

I must be getting old. I can also remember when Arby's was still a small local chain called Gentleman Jim's.
I remember when KFC was Scott's Chicken Villa in Canada.

@Nostalgia Canadiana Been on Dave's Archives for a long time, loved seeing all the great classic commercials that were aired then, as well as very fun local based commercials of which there were not a lot I noticed on Canadian based broadcast TV at least for the major networks until later on, plus he's just an incredibly great guy and funny as hell, but i'm also super stoked to see a Canadian based channel with even TO based content on it, much closer to home, thank you eh!?

This is actually from February 1983. Remember when First Choice launched on February 1st that year and the first movie that premiered at their launch was ‘Star Wars’, which was a big deal back then. Thank you for sharing!!

1:31 - Circus - Voiceover by Dave Devall. The footage is all from CTV's "Circus" series, which was done in conjunction with Garden Brothers Circus, and starred Cal Dodd & Sherisse Laurence as hosts.
10:38 - Certs - Voiceovrr by Henry Ramer.
11:09 - Almond Joy & Mounds - Made by Cadbury, under licence from Peter Paul, which had been making them in the USA since the 1920s (Mounds) and 1946 (Almond Joy).
Broadcast airdate and airtime: February 6, 1983 between the hours of 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
