Wow education in Switzerland is everything I wish we had in America. We waste 18 years of our lives being taught the same Information as if everyone is seeking to be an engineer scientist or historian, then spend the next 10-20 years figuring what we ACTUALLY want to do, so if you reach happiness it’s usually not until middle age. Having different options to test out apprenticeships while you’re young like Switzerland would be so much more efficient.

In Canada we have 3 language area. The English one: Basically from British Columbia (the province of Vancouver) in the West of the Country to Ontario (the province of Toronto) in eastern-central Canada. Then you have the French one: Quebec (Western province, montréal, the 2nd biggest city of Canada is here) and thr maritimes. And then you have the indigenous part, in Yukon and the Northwest territory. And finally you have inuit, in Nunavut (North-East)

Hello, I am looking forward to immigrate from Africa to either Switzerland or Canada. What advice can you give me. I can only speak English and understand only English. Am just considering a country that I will have so many job opportunities, and a safe environment

Thanks for your question! Most people in Switzerland understand english, but if you are not able to speak German or French, I would recommend Canada, since (in my experience) Canadiens are much more open to new people, whereas in Switzerland you might have a difficult time integrating into jobs etc. due to your lack of German. I think for you Canada would be a more viable option, since your able to speak the language and people are generally more inclusive.

If you don't know any of this 2 language ( French & German) then switzerland won't be a good choice for you plus their immigration policy is strict. Canada might be good for you

Since you can speak English and French, I think both countries would be viable for you, however Canadians are often much more open to new people, whereas in Switzerland you might have a difficult time integrating into jobs etc. but if you go somewhere in the French speaking region, you’ll be fine.

The choices are now in your hand. Switzerland immigration is difficult compare to Canada for non-EU people. You'll have to spend 10 years of your life to get permanent residency on Switzerland and another 10 years to get citizenship. On the other hand, Canada is a very immigrant friendly country, it has more opportunities than Switzerland, getting permanent residency is easy in Canada.

The minimum wage in Switzerland is 23chf but the actual paid minimum wage is25chf. And the minimum wage is also differ from different sectors. Been to Canada, i could say the quality of life here in Switzerland is far better of that Canada and the US.
