*Who are we?*
We’re Victoria & Craig! In 2021, we decided that we needed to make life a little more exciting, so we bought a used fifth wheel and completely renovated it. Then, we sold our house in Tallahassee, Florida and hit the road full time in our RV! We’ve traveled all around the United States (and Baja Mexico!) and fell in love with boondocking in our RV at the most beautiful places. In 2023, we upgraded to a brand new Brinkley RV Model Z 3100. You’ll always find us on some kind of outdoor adventure, whether it’s hiking the Grand Canyon, rock climbing in Yosemite or surfing the shores of Baja Mexico. Subscribe to our channel (bit.ly/3ssOjGT) to follow along on our full time RV living adventures!

It’s always worse when returning to your home country which is ironically the only one where they can’t say “you can’t come in”. We we are Canadian and going to the US is easy providing you know what you can and can’t bring.
2 approximate conversions. 1.) kilometers to miles: divide km in half, then add 10% of the first number. e.g. 100km ÷ 2 = 50 + 10% of 100 (10) = 60 miles -- actually it's 62 miles but close. 2.) Celsius to Fahrenheit: double C and add 30. e.g. 20° x 2 = 40 + 30 = 70³ F

Another suggestion is to lower all the windows on the driver's side. Been asked that numerous times by both the Canadian and US crossings. They want to be able to view the entire interior of the vehicle.

Much easier for Americans to cross into Canada than Canadians crossing into the US.
@brianhalliday2384

Nope, we have icky Canadians lecturing us about the evils of our country all winter in Florida.
As a Canadian, I love watching border crossing videos. About 80% of the Canadian population lives within a two hour drive of the US border so we are more conditioned to crossing. I find that crossing into the US is easier than coming back into Canada. For us, the Canadian border officers are mostly concerned with collecting tax on alcohol. Only had border officers on either side of the border look in our RV once and he just opened the door and looked in. Didn’t actually step inside.
Squawk box in the Navy refers to the intercom boxes around the ship for emergency communications. It's also known as a "b" box. I'll let you figure that out.
Welcome back to Canada!!! I think you'll find the Border Services Officers a bit more laid back at the less busy crossings. Looking forward to your next video!!

LOL like this one - Hopkins Towing Solutions FloTool 10627GT GRIPTECH Filter Pliers
It’s so different for us. I do all the driving and backing, my husband is usually ready for breakdowns and emergencies.
Make sure you stop at the Mount Robson Visitor Center to take in the views. If you visit Jasper after Banff is is on the way to Highway 97 or it is worth the short short trip from 97. The campground is very nice and only $28 CAD if you want to spend a day or two exploring the area. There are some nice hikes and waterfalls in the area. Wells Grey is also a nice stop. You can spend a day driving to then end of the park road then stopping along the way for a few amazing waterfall hikes. There are two very large ones. Canada does an amazing job with their provincial park system.

We had to wait to pull ahead when we got there yet there wasn’t anyone in sight! I said that he thought it would be a good time to go to the bathroom & of course someone shows up🤣. We stayed at the Kooteny National Park RedStreak campground in Radium! All sites are pull through (in loop H) and many sites are full hookups. It is absolutely beautiful campground.

Worst experience was one time crossing from NY to Cornwall, Ontario and they decided to search the 5th wheel. Checking drawers they found a gun lock that we had gotten a rv rally and then had a terrible time convincing them that we did not have any guns in the rv. They searched every cupboard and storage area before finally letting us go. Have crossed many other times with no issues. Coming back from Alaska and crossing at Vancouver they checked the refrigerator.
