The original singer of this song is a famous Sid Sriram. You should watch his performance. He is basically a Carnatic musician and also well versed in Western music. Sridhar Sena reproduced some 60 to 70% of the original.

In super singer competition , usually they have split into two teams... Now u are watching the team selection round...in this round judges select the contestants as their team. Each team have two judges... They select them by how they are performing... If one's performance is superb, judges runs fastly and tap that gong(bell) .. Which team judges tap the gong first, afterwards that contestant goes into that team...... Judges name - anuraadha mam, unni krishnan sir, benny dayal sir and Kalpana mam.🤗🤗🤗

The gong is for team selection.

In this program, judges select their own contestants for their respective teams (two judges per team--two teams) by pressing the buzzer or hitting the cong ( limited to four contestants only per team). This was the team selection performance. After this both teams perform against each other, singers getting eliminated and towards the end of the season, five or six people remain and there won't be any team. During the team performance, respective judges groom their team. But during the contest all the four judges give marks to each and every performer.
