OMG.. I love laced boots. I'm over 50. Been wearing them for a while. Combat boots comfy, and easy to wear. Don't be a prude. Wear what makes you feel comfortable. Bty way style boots with gray jeans.

I’m 60 and wear them a lot! I just brought out my old black leather Rockport lace-ups and they’re perfect. Comfortable and combat-style. I buy good quality leather footwear and wear them forever, every style looks fresh again eventually.

Thanks for the inspiration. I’m a petite 61 year old and just got the cutest pair from Nordstrom but was thinking I should send them back. I watched your video and thought: if I can pull at least 3 outfits from my closet I’ll keep them and justify the expense. I did more than 3. 1. Black leggings, white crisp bottom down shirt and a black business blazer! 2. Black jeans, white crisp bottom down and an oversized crew sweater! 3. Cute black short dress (not mini) dress under a denim fitted jacked! 4. Printed midi dress under a black leather moto jacket! 5. Distressed boyfriend jeans, denim long sleeve button up under a grey cashmere buttoned cardigan! Wow so many options, thank you so much!!!

I turned 50 a couple of months ago and just got my first pair of Doc Martens (Sinclair). Age wasn't even a factor. They work with a my weekend wardrobe and are quite comfortable. I'm already looking forward to my next pair.

very up to date and helpful style tips, i'm over 50 and my BFF was totally against the boots i just bought, similar to yours...had me questioning myself....but after some thought, I'm confident enough to wear.... plus they're supposed to be FUN and light..I'm tired of being always "perfectly" dressed....a benefit of aging, I'm no longer obliged to wear "office" dictated clothing :)

I also wear my combat boots with a maxi or midi skirt, as well, with a pair of black tights underneath of the skirt. I also recently found a pair of ecru canvas combat boots that are just awesome! Finding my size (size 5) in trendy or cool shoes or boots is usually rare, but I feel like I hit the jackpot with these finds….what a great addition to my wardrobe! I am so happy to see so many women around my age (68), stepping out of the box and rocking this look! Way to go, girls!!!!

I’m 65 and Wanted to purchase a pair of combat boots over the Christmas holiday but wasn’t sure if I’d look silly! So glad I ran across your video. Oh and I love leggings!!! I think, at my age, the length of the top makes all the difference. I feel very sophisticated and comfortable and not at all out of place. @@MeetPenelope We have a large open wood fire and I love the way that guys react when they see my girlfriend pushing the logs over to the back with her DM combat boots. I still remember the time when she told a guy that it was to save having to put her hands into the flames. He seemed even more shocked when he mentioned that the flames were almost up to the knee of her jeans and she casually said "Don't worry, Levi's don't burn". Do you feel more confident when you are wearing your leather boots when you are burning the rubbish, or having a bonfire.?

She’s doing this thing that because of her age, “I can’t wear that” or “I’m not wearing that”. I call her style “non-discript” 🤣. It’s so bad that when we met up for lunch or even when we’ve been on holiday together people think she’s my mum‼️😂

Not at all! I am 68 yrs. old, 4’10” and I wear my Doc Marten’s a lot and receive compliments on my outfits quite often. I like my boots best with my black midi ribbed dress and tights (now that it is quite cooler). There are very few things that I eliminate from my wardrobe because of age. The main thing I won’t do at my age (and body structure) is bare my midriff). However; if my body was toned and had good structure, I would most definitely bare my midriff at times! I love stepping out of the box when it comes to fashion!
