I just had a thought. If you use a hot glue gun and make tiny dots on the bottom of the shoe and then wait for it to dry, it might make a grip so they aren't as slippery!

I made the flats using coloured tape and I made it with 5 layers and I can walk on the pavement with them it's awesome!!!!

just an idea: make them with patterned washi tape

its waterproof right?? so I can use it for like toilet shoes so if the floor is wet I can walk properly also I maight add some hot glue so it has a grip. Btw i was amazed with this idea!!

I think that if you used a thicker tape such as duct tape, it would be more durable. But, as you have stated, these made an EXCELLENT cosplay item. I think I might use this DIY for my theatre performances
