I'm just beginning to gather knowledge to do bobo balloon gifts and, in anticipation of my friends upcoming small wedding in October (I will be able to help her save tremendously on decor/gifts). Since I'm still waiting for my supplies to arrive I had nothing to even test on using a flat iron. I was wondering about it because the last thing I was cringing (and whining, crying, delaying, adamantly wailing "no no no no!") at purchasing was a balloon sealer machine due to the high cost of them. After watching you previously and learning how to do the balloons, I thought I'd come and watch you more to solidify my learning and surprise! You were testing a flat iron as a sealer. ONCE AGAIN, MY HERO!!!!!!!

You can buy mini flat irons too. Half the size of a “regular “ flat iron. Thanks for sharing. ❤

I think that one is a 18”. Sorry I have them all mixed up. I get the Bobo balloons off of Amazon.

How did you get the flower to sit more at the base of the balloon? When i put airvin, it slides down and the stems are more exposed

Hi, would a normal iron work? Also, can you do this without the inflater? Just a regular hand held pump?

I wouldn’t try with an iron, however you can use a hand pump.

I also tried this and checked for air leaking when finished. Didn’t hear any. However, the following day the balloon was deflated. It works for like a handful of hours, then it deflates.

Mine lasted as long as the ones that I used with a sealer. If air was not coming from your seal. It could of been from the neck of the balloon.

I tried this last night and this morning it was completely deflated! There was a leak somewhere that isn't obvious, can't find it!

Yes. It is very important to check for air right when you finish using your flat iron, just like you would a regular sealer.

I tried this today and it seems like my iron is too hot cuz it literally melts the plastic within a second… am I doing something wrong?

Start out in low if you can. Also close it quickly to see if that will help

I tried this technique but wasn't successful... so I just bought the Warmer it wasn't expensive

Me too. Not working at all used all the settings, and it either melted the balloon or it wouldn't seal it.

i used it an the ballon melted :( its too hot
