    Some people are outliers and it can cause water weight and belly bloat. It's rare but even on a strict diet and hydrated I'd still have nasty gut bloat. I've tried creatine for over 20 years with the same results.

    So much bro science here. For a fact for many people, including me creatine mono for example causes bloat and weight gain OUTSIDE the muscle, thus Bloat! I also had excessive creatinine in blood and urine tests. That coach was correct in pulling the creatine.

    I was using Creatine on a cut and it was amazing performance and recovery wise, but it unfortunately gave me digestive issues and I was peeing so much it was just a constant burden.

    If you think water won’t make you look better in your outfit you need to rethink things a bit, salt is what is the difference, water is life, drink a gallon a day it actually helps shed excess water.

    I have take creatine before in the past and I have gotten bigger and stronger. I was also told that I would get fat. I hired a coach and got my nutrition better. Am I bigger? Yes. I'm 6'3 395 but I wear clothes that someone 100lbs less them me does. I run and operate like any other athlete so it's awsome I have set so many pr's on it and I love it. I am in the proccess of a weight drop for halloween. The creatine is not going anywhere.

    I've lost almost 60 lbs from 325 to 267. I'm 6'2". I lost the weight with intermittent fasting for 20 hrs a day and eating for only a 4 hour window. Counting my calories and staying in a caloric deficite. Strength training 1 hr a day 6 days a week. I'm considering taking creatine for a bit of a boost in the gym and to jump start the muscle building process. Do you think I can still keep losing weight while using it?

    @@FernandoGarcia-dr8rf I was 326 dropped down to 306 without any supplements. I’m 36 I just get to the gym get a strong session in and hit the sauna for 20 minutes. Still losing weight little by little. It’s been a couple of weeks.

    Maybe someone could give me there opinion on something if have be experiencing the past 7 days, I’m currently in a deficit and been on a Keto diet mostly but have currently switched to high protein about 125g carbs and low fats and started to take creatine post workout just 5g no loading phase it’s day 8 now and I’m gained 1 lbs in the last 2 days O.5 lbs - 0.5lbs each day but feel like I’m getting leaner and my muscles feel fuller is this just the creatine/carbs holding water in the muscle which is making the scale go up or do I need to cut my calories even more I train 7 days a week push pull legs split any advice will be appreciate.

    For the loading fase I was dieting and got very confused for a few weeks as i was actually gaining 1 kilo per week, I weighted 112kilos, then 115kg at the end of the month, I thought that I fucked up my calories or something, but it ended up being the water retention, because I looked leaner and more muscular, then week by week my weight started to drop again because I already filled the muscles with water and now im back down at 112 kg way stronger and leaner than before looking at the pictures, so dont get scared if you go up in weight starting, becase its all water retention in the muscle, it doesnt make you fat, you can lose fat and mantain or even gain muscle while on creatine, we have to look at the mirror a litle bit more and step out of the scale, if you feel and look better you are better dont obses yourself with the scale

    I've been losing weight for quite awhile without using creatine, then started taking it and gained 6 lbs in one week. It freaked me out so I stopped taking it to check that it wasn't my calories I effed up, then the weight started coming off after just a couple of days. I think I will start back up on the creatine, just may need to adjust my goal weight. This video and comment was gold about what I needed to know.

    My stomach does look bloated. It’s huge… but I have been loading for over a week so hopefully the belly bloating stops soon and I see the effects. I look huge today.

    Hey, I have a doubt. Let's say I am doing cardio along with strength training to lose fat and gain muscle. But if I take creatine, wouldn't that also fuel my cardio session? That's not good because I want energy taken from the carbs and fats rather than creatine, especially when running.

    Creatine isnt an energy source at all. It would not replace the ATP that you get from carbs, fats, and sugars.

    Id only say that "looks" is subjectively better off creatine, not arguing that water is stored "outside" the muscle at all, simply stating that I know for a fact that my muscles get rounder when on creatine. Sure, that makes them look bigger, but I just tend to prefer the "carved out of wood" look which contrasts well against the so mainstream bloated bodybuilder trend.

    This is where peak week is trial and error. It’s not well researched and most of the information is based off experience. From what I got told from a top coach who works with natural athletes you go on a carb and creatine deplete a week out then when you carb and creatine load while minimising water a day out the body with get water from under the skin to fill up the muscle while drying out your skin.

    Drink enough water with the creatine, you can add salt to help with absorption and if you still have gut issues just split the dose and take it 2 or 3 times a day.

    I use creatine from Alzchem Germany called Creapure. There are several suppliers who uses this micronized creatine. I keep it to a low dose of 3mg to avoid gut/stomach problems. I also mix it with Greek yogurt plus a scoop of whey protein.

    Creatine monohydrate should be what you get, it's the most researched and effective form of creatine. If you're having gut issues eat before you take creatine, make sure your water intake is higher & drink the shake slower.

    @@Xx_m1k3_0X1onG_xX creapure is creatine mono. It’s just made in Germany to a specific standard so there are much less impurities. A lot of regular creatine mono is made in China where they have very low standards. Drinking it slower or increasing water consumption will likely not help gut issues, or at least this has never been the case for me.

    From what I read, creatine increases DHT for up to 36% the first week, then 22% afterwards. If you take medication to lower DHT (finasteride) then that should balance it out. Good luck man

    Is supplemental creatine needed if you are on a carnivore diet eating 2-3# (raw weight) beef per day? I believe 100g raw ground beef has 0.9g creatine. Which would mean I get 8-12g of creatine per day from food. Does that work as well as supplemental? TIA for any info

    @@Rajdweep no I don’t. My intestines can’t handle any sort of fiber. I have too much damage from years of opioid use for chronic pain from a degenerative joint disorder (ehlers danlos syndrome). I only eat meat (90% grassfed beef), eggs, animal fat and olive oil.

    @@Rajdweep being opioid and sedative free because my pain is so well managed with my diet is anything but boring. When you are desperate enough and fearful enough of only existing and not living, you do what it takes. The last thing I am is bored. I love what I eat. I eat like a king. Not a queen. But a king!!!

    To start the load is it recommended to take around 15 grams a day for 5 days for female ? And then go to 5 grams daily? Thanks. I have been wondering the proper way to add creatine in most effectively and been reading a plethora of info. Also before training or after training, eating empty stomach?     Loading creatine to saturate the muscle has been debunked a while ago. Just start with 3-5g a day. Also time of day doesn't matter but some people swear by taking it post workout for absorption and recovery reasons but do what works for you. All the best!

    @@francescafrancesca9872 yeah the loading phase was a ploy created by companies to sell more product. The creatine does take time to properly saturate the muscle . . say a few days to a week but loading with 20 grams a day won't speed up or inhibit the process. Creatine will do what it does just fine on a normal 3-5g dosage from the start and providing you're not one of the 20% non responders, you should see all the benefits mentioned in the video. It's a really great addition to your training so I hope it works out for you francesca 😄

    I loaded creatine for a week and it does work. If you want to load creatine split up your servings and take it on a full stomach. Post workout is also the ideal time to take it. Oh and don't take it too fast, you definitely don't want the upset stomach from it

    You shouldn’t need carnitine unless you have a deficiency of carnitine. If you eat enough meat you really shouldn’t need it and taking more carnitine would do literally nothing for you.

    It doesn’t matter when. You can take it before or after as long as it’s in your system. It’s not the same as whey protein where it should be taken after a the work out.

    Should someone like me who is obese and just starting to workout take this supplement? I have a Bowflex which I use 30 - 45 mins everyother day and an elliptical that I use for 30mins b4 each workout. As big as I am I don't need to be seeing the scale go up. But I don't mind if it will eventually help it go back down faster.

    i had that when i was taking 10g a day after the load week... i knocked it down to 5g a day and my face slimmed back down.

    I bought creatine and have been scared to take it because I don’t want to gain weight. My goal is to lose about 15 pounds but also gain muscle. I workout 6 days a week (only weightlifting) and in a high protein diet. I have not seen the scale go down so I’m at a plateau, should I still go ahead and take creatine or should I try to focus on losing more weight first?

    It will make you gain weight for the first couple of weeks. So you will probably won’t lose weight for two weeks or so. After that you shouldn’t have a problem losing weight .

    People bloating... please, mix your creatine 5g in 32oz water bottle, and drink spacingly. If you load for a week do this, morning, noon, late afternoon then around 8-9pm.

    It increases the body’s ability to produce DHT with makes hair not on your head grow more. It’s may cause the hair on your hair to thin. But the studies about it are all over the place.

    I was already using HIMS hair treatment anyway which there shampoo kills DHT, DHT in the scalp causes hairs loss which some claims creatine creates

    Yeah this nutrition shop had us hitting our protein and only eating carbs around workouts and our body compositions got better after a month or so on the machine. And this was years ago so idk how that isn’t mainstream
