Try slowing the speed down to .75 and put on the subtitles. If you have to, you can slow it down more and work your way back up to normal. Some people speed it up if you can imagine that 🤪

Me encantan estos videos de mensajes de voz. Me gusta escuchar dos veces sin subtítulos y luego activar subtítulos en español y finalmente en inglés. Es una gran manera de aprender nuevas palabras y muy satisfactorio ver cuánto puedo entender. ¡Me encantaría ver más videos cómo este!

Tu español es sensacional.
So far as I've been able to tell, the lack of a glottal stop and glides (I think those are the terms) pretty much destroy my ability to understand Spanish spoken at speed. When people speak Spanish _unusually slow_ I sometimes understand five words in a row. Maybe after amassing a pile of vocabulary that will change. I am learning things from your videos though. E.g. I left second comment on your prior video about finding "mango" in a book. =) And because of your video I knew what it meant without looking it up. So, you're helping with my reading comprehension in any case.
I listened to all of your short voice message videos, and I think it’s a great way to practice real Spanish listening comprehension. The first time I listened to it I got the gist of it, the second time I listened to it with Spanish subtitles and got some more details and then I listened to it again with English subtitles to check.

You're Amazing ! These are great for Advanced learners because you can listen to them over and over until it just sinks in ! Also , as some commenter mentioned , you can reduce the speed , and you can clarify with using the subtitles .
No sé como YT me recomendó este vídeo porque soy de España y obviamente hablo español, pero se me ha hecho divertido 🤣👍
Me encanta este video!! Creo que la conversación entre los españoles es aún más rápido😂

@@miguelcrtz First I’d get a anki flashcard deck by Refold (has 1k most common vocabulary in context) - I’d study 10 new cards on day. Then I’d watch 2 hour of Dreaming Spanish videos each day. Also read and listen to 1 hour of a transcribed Spanish podcast. I gave up all social media and tv in English to get the time for it. It’s a sacrifice.
Estoy tan orgulloso de haberlo entendido todo jaja. Muchas gracias por este vídeo, es muy útil, porque es Español de la vida diaria, así hablan los Españoles (pues no todos, ya que hay un montón de acentos en España). También me permitió ver mis progresos porque la verdad, si hubiera visto el vídeo hace un año, no hubiera comprendido nada.

Thank you very much for this video, I'd appreciate more of this sort. It's fascinating how at first my mind panicked at the speed of your words and couldn't make much sense out of it but then, when it relaxed a bit treating it as fun rather than a challenge, a clear picture of what you were saying came into view. As others have said, it's best to listen 2-3 times without subtitles, then with Spanish ones, and in the end with English to get some idioms/colloquial words right. Learning this way (at real life speed) seems more exciting!
Genial! Este vídeo me viene como anillo al dedo! Me encanta que hables a una velocidad normal. Ya que tu dominas el inglés, sabes que se requiere mucha escucha activa para aprender a hablar y entender un idioma extranjero.
Estos tipos de video me encanta, de verdad ! Espero por mas contenido como este porque realmente te practica a escuchar a una conversacion de la vida diara entre nativos et me ayudó mucho. Gracias !
Months ago theres no way I'll understand this pero hoy, yo puedo entender. Perks of being a Filipino knowing English and Tagalog made learning Spanish so much easier
Estudio español desde hace 6 meses. Pensé que iba bien hasta que vi este video. Gracia Laura por destruir mis ilusiones!
I'm at about 450 hours of input right now and I couldn't understand very much of this. I could hear a few phrases/sentences/words but overall, it definitely felt a little bit too fast for me. But I'm going to come back to this video after a few hundred more hours of input and see how much I understand. haha

I listened twice, then again with Spanish subtitles, and finally with English subtitles. I was so far off! I thought you were just talking about what you were planning to do, and that you were preparing to take a trip, but you couldn't go because you didn't have any gasoline. At least I learned a useful new word--salida.
Al principio creía que dijiste que olvidaste tu vaselina. Me estaba preguntando porque era tan importante tener vaselina para una entrevista 🤣🤣🤣
I listened to this like 6 months ago and couldn’t understand anything and now I can understand the gist of it 👀😱
Omg! Amazing. My brain can actually pick out quite a few words from that bowl of Spanish soup! 😎
I understand an easy 90%+ of the vocabulary but that accent is totally new to me and native speakers are fast!!
Love the videos Laura 👌🏿
Needs Spanish subtitles and transcript. Listening to Spanish while seeing English subtitles doesn't aid listening comprehension, it impairs it.

Wow! Super rápido para mi. entiendí solo algunos palabras.
Vejo tanto seus vídeos que às vezes penso que és uma de minhas alunas.
Yo llegando aquí sabiendo que hablo perfectamente español por que es mi idioma nativo aun que no sea de España pero imaginándome que el Español no es mi primer idioma y así tener idea de como lo perciben los demás: -Vaya que rápido habla, pero que buena anécdota.👏🏼
It was a good lesson to learn that I shouldnt shake my head like I understand when I think I get a few words here and there, because I was way way wrong. I thought you described making an elaborate breakfast, I heard several dishes- eggs, salad, and stuff and that somehow you included gasoline which was a mistake and then went on the road I was guessing to a hospital. 🤣
Me encanta comprehensible input.
