I broke my ankle while delivering for Amazon, I was out for about a year on workman’s compensation. When I return for “light duty” they started to send me home early and after 3 days they end up just telling me to not come back till I have a full recovery. Unfortunately I’ve plateaued in my recovery and I won’t get any better. Turns out, my company fired me and said it was cause I was late to work. I was 8 minutes late, ONE time. Is this a form of retaliation?

My son woke up throwing up recently with bad headaches and i called my wifes boss to tell her my wife needed to leave work so we could take him to the hospital and she did not tell my wife for a hour and my son was later that day diagnosed with a mass on his brain. My wife before she left work was caught on camera checking her phone and her boss accused my wife of lying and trying to get out of work. She also wrote my wife up because she checked her phone. Which my wife only checked her phone because that is how we check on our children. Does she have a lawsuit?

Well clocking you out early and not letting you get paid for your hours worked is a violation of the FLSA and is a claim. Speak to a local employment attorney.

What if you got hired for work that you weren't informed about. I was under the impression that I wasn't hired for a job and awaited a response from the employer for weeks, it was not until I got a text from my girlfriend. Literally a couple hours prior that I was supposedly to work.

Having an hourly employee work off the clock, means they are not getting paid for their labor. Not legal.

What if you report a threat that is exactly what happens the next day and you report the safety concern, and leave work on a work refusal that they acknowledged. Then terminated you and demfamed you?
