Here's what i learnt: Find good reference (ones without blurry shadows r better/easier) Sketch, simplify character (draw accessories later, also sketch is used to reference later) Seperate shadows into parts (dark, darker, darkest, etc) (studying 3d models will help) Line art Apply shadow using diff opacities (airbrush/low apacity hard brush r gud) Lineart again to revive details lost after rendering (especially hair n clothes, refer to the sketch) Notes: Painting character in grayscale first will make it easier to shade, u can colour/saturate it later Avoid smudge tool, use low opacity hard brush to apply n blend (hard brush keeps texture) Blend modes parallel gradient n unsharp mask r useful If ur stuck at one area, move to another area, procrastination is ok, everyone does it Random thing I found in another video, the pencil (graphite) brush is also good for blending due to its faded tip

@@raihannaaw1690 For rendering, some layers you'd need are lineart, shadows, highlights, bounce/reflected light. Other tips: make use of folders, clipping, and blending modes (example, multiply, soft light, and add) [I'm not a good artist so it's better to find other people or videos to reference]

Hi idk how to remove the line art in order to have a better rendered picture, when I remove it it will be stupid and when i try to paint over it, it's color is different and it's like i have to render the line art too

What brunch for renderings.

I did rendering COMPLETLY WRONG i first thought render brushed as a "Great Outline Brush" and i then felt like i was doing something wrong i searched it up and. *sigh* i feel like a idiot

A humble ask for crazy hair styles. I have such trouble with hair that has no obvious part. Like freakin Goku... Also I can't figure out how to do pen pressure on Ibis on my phone. Maybe I should get a pen for it? Idk

From what I understand, you have to get a pen supported by Ibis that actually reads as one of the supported pens, like an apple pen for example, or a sonar pen or an android standard stylus. Hope that helped 😅

When you make a new folder, you can grab and drop your layers in and out of it, and rearrange them as necessary. I hope that helped! I can also make a video tutorial on my channel if you need to see it lol

I can render well but I use csp

I have to ask, isn't ibis paint only free to use for 1 hour on the computer? It was my favorite mobile drawing application, but I can't use it with my laptop.

I can render a painting without a sketch, I just need some time to think what to do. Sometimes I just lay down a color of skin, then I just do do do doOoOo and I have a penting *I spelt it incorrectly bc they all turn out horrible* Either way Coax and Fung are very talented artists I actually just spent 3 hours on a render test..
