mentions obedience to the Rulers and Ustadh's explanation of it. 2:01:20>> The Ijma' on not rebelling against the Oppressive Muslim Rulers 2:33:13>> The summarisation of the seventh principle by Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan. 2:47:13>> 《Eight principle 》 It's haram to go around spreading the shortcomings and mistakes of the Muslim ruler and incidents related to it by Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan. said are about the Muslim Rulers and not the Rulers of today, also the pledge of allegiance issue expounded by Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan. 5:21:15>>They say the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said " You will listen to the great Amir" and the fact that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم used the term "great leader" means there is only one caliph and Ustadh responds in three ways. 5:24:42>> The statement of Imam Nawawi We brought before on the hadith of sahih muslim and Ustadh's response to it. 5:26:27>> Ibn Hazm attempts to reject the hadiths You mentioned on patience to the oppressive ruler and He does that in four ways Namely........ 5:44:11>> Imam Ahmed about the meaning of the hadith "whoever dies without an Imam......." and Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan response to it. 《Sixth Hour Timestamps 》 6:11:37>> Muawiyah ibn Abi Sufyan and those after Him were mistaken when they allowed leadership to be inheritance. 6:23:12>> Is the pledge of allegiance binding only on the one who undertakes it or also for those who don't undertake it. 6:26:34>> The kind of agreement that's in place between the Hakim(Ruler) and the Mahkum(Subjects) .......... and Ustadh's further explanations. 6:39:31>> The shariah has actually warned and gave severe warning to the people...... 6:44:20>>You mentioned the term أهل الحلّ والعقد (The People of Ijtihad) , some might say the rights of choosing the Rulers is not restricted to these special group of People. 6:49:40>> 《The main Topic 》 The issue of khurooj, whether it's permissible to rebel against the oppressive Muslim Rulers and Ustadh's Introduction. 6:58:00>> The khurooj of the Grandson of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم Hussein رضي الله عنه وأرضاه and People who make it Istihlal(Halal) to rebel due to it. 《The Seventh Hour Timestamps 》 7:36:45>> What's Your position on the whole situation ,the leaving that Husayn did was it an erroneous decision and deep investigation. 《Eighth hour Timestamps 》 8:01:21>>They say as long as you admit that there was khilaf at the time of the salaaf before the ijma........ 8:06:46>> The issue of the khurooj of Hussein رضي الله عنه وأرضاه in comprehensive manner and detailed response. 8:11:35>> Another doubt they bring and Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan addresses it properly. 8:24:42>>Hussain gave Bay'ah to Muawiyah and not His son Yazid and further expounding by Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan. 8:27:50 hussein hears that the people of Kufa have broken their contract with Yazid. >8:32:27>>Ibn Taymiyyah mentions that the hadiths about the one who breaks the unity of the Muslims doesn't apply to the Hussein Ra and further explanations. 8:33:32>>Imam Ibn Jarir Al-Tabari He mentions that Abdullah Ibn Umar (Ra) He went to Husayn (Ra) and Ibn Zubayr(Ra) and said..... 8:34:31>>someone might say Hussein Ra come back back from this after He realised He no longer had power and Ibn Taymiyyah responds to this doubt they bring. 8:37:46>> summarising the issue we discussed so far بإذن الله تعالى 8:44:06>> Shaykhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah says in His Minhaj Us Sunnah that Husayn Ra didn't leave Mecca with the intention of fighting, instead what He thought was that they were going to give Him Bay'ah but they deceived Him. 8:47:56 >> The day of Harra and what happened on that day. 8:52:56>> The Army of the repentant Men who went out to seek the revenge for the murder of Husayn رضي الله عنه Why are some of the comments questions about how they must have made time for prayer? 😂 i’m sure they figured out to pray on time and i’m sure they must have planned the podcast around salah. @Yūsuf Carty Brother if it was that simplistic a podcast wouldn't be needed. I've looked into this and a thorough refutation is needed. I've seen the evidence from the "other side" and it's quite strong *compared to other doubts* people are pushing. Just to be clear, the "other side" agree that it is wrong, they just don't consider it to be Shirk, rather they consider it to be Bid'ah which obviously leads to questions like: Was MIAW a Takfiri/Khariji for killing people who committed an innovation, but they weren't committing Shirk (or so they claim).

I really hope they make a long video like this on that issue cause he claimed muhammad ibn abdulwahhab was the first to say it was shirk while it's clear from quran and sunnah and there were other scholars before him who said the same including ibn taymiyya and many scholars from the 4 madhabs.

also refuting those who say Imam Muhammad ibn AbdulWahab may Allaah have mercy upon him was the first to put Tawheed into categories. Ustadh's Shaykh Ahmad Mahmud refuted a Sufi on it a few weeks ago.

First thing that we need to understand is that Qur'an has commanded to obey Allah and obey his Messenger (s) and ullul Amr. Here the word obey اطیع had been used for only allah and his Messenger not with the ullul Amr. Which means we have follow Allah and messanger without conditions but the same is not the case with ullul Amr. They should be followed only when they order us of something good . The same has been told in numerous Hadith in bukhari which the Imam Ibn Kaseer has mentioned under the commentary of the said ayah. Qur'an commands us to stay together as one and don't divide among yourselves. So for the safeguard of the ummah we have been commanded to follow the rulers even if they will snatch ur property and flock u because rebellion will led to the fitna and Qur'an says fitna is worse than murder. But today we don't have one ummah one ruler. Today we have more than 50 Muslim countries with their rulers. Prophet Muhammad ( s) said if there is a one ruler and another one claims to be the ruler then he should be killed. Does this means we should kill all other rulers ? No ! Because we don't have one ummah but countries today so all the Hadith and reference given in the said video is about the time we have one Ummah but that is not the case anymore. We already have enough fitna and all so called Muslim countries all secular. Allegiance to them don't fall under the Hadith quoted in the video even though I don't endorse rebellion. if anyone still thinks that simply identifying as a Muslim, and possessing power and control of territory is sufficient to make one a ‘ruler’, and people should followed him. would it be consistent and call ISIS ‘rulers’ too between 2014-2017 because they controlled territory too. With regard to criticizing ruler openly let me quote Ka’b bin ‘Ujra, a companion of the Prophet who was told of Allah’s (SWT) mercy for him, reported that he entered the mosque and saw Abd al-Rahman b. Umm Hakam, governor under Caliph Muawiyah, delivering the sermon in a sitting posture. Upon this he said: “Look at this wretched person; he delivers the sermon while sitting, whereas Allah said:” And when they see merchandise or sport, they break away to it and leave thee standing” [Sahih Muslim 864] This is the same Ka’b bin ‘Ujra who related the following hadith about accounting the rulers: “The Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) came out to us, we were made up of nine; five and four. The first of the numbers for the Arabs, and the latter for the non-Arabs. He said: ‘Listen, have you heard that after me there will leaders, whoever enters upon them and condones to their lies, and supports them in their oppression, then he is not from me and I am not from him, and he shall not drink with me from the Hawd. And whoever does not enter upon them, nor help them in their oppression, nor condones to their lies, then he is from me, and I am from him, and he shall drink with me at the Hawd.” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2259] Another case was a Yahya bin Yamar, a tabi’ tabieen and famous hadith narrator who publicly rebuked Hajjaj, governor under Caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan: Aa’sim bn Bah’dalah narrated ‘”People gathered around Hajjaaj [and] then Husain bin ‘Ali (RA) was mentioned. Hajjaj said, “He is not among the progeny of the Prophet ﷺ” [arguing progeny isn’t via mothers, but only fathers]. In the gathering was Yahya bn Yamar who retorted “You have lied O [governor of the] Amirul Mu’mineen (Leaders of the Muslims)”. Hajjaaj: “You must surely put forth a proof for what you have said from the Book of Allah or I will kill you”. Yahya recited (Surah An’aam vs 84-85): “Among his progeny, Dawuud, Sulaimon, Ayub, Yusuf, Musa and Haarun to …..Zakariyah, Yahya and Eesa’. Then Allah mentioned that Eesa is among the offspring of Adam through his mother and Hussain bin Ali is among the offspring of Muhammad (ﷺ) through his mother”. Hajjaj: *You have said the truth! But what temerity do you have to belie me in my gathering?* Yahya: “The covenant Allah took with the Prophets that they must give clarifications and not conceal it. (Then he quoted) “..but they threw it away behind their backs and purchase with it miserable gains!_…. [Al-Imran: 187]” So, Hajjaj banished him to Khorasan’ [Haakim No 4772, Sunanul kubraa of Bayhaaqi Vol.6 pg166, Tafsir of Ibn Abi Haatim Vol.4 pg1335] Clearly these hadiths illustrate sahabahs and renown transmitters of narrations clearly publicly accounting the Caliphs and their governors/Amirs for all to hear.

Allahuma barik for the content. May Allah make us those who fellow the evidences and not our desires.

Thank you Ustadh for the knowledge you have taught us in this discussion. I just have one question: When Abu Bakr (RA) accepted the khilafah, he made a speech in which he said, “Obey me so long as I obey Allah and His Messenger. And if I disobey Allah and His Messenger, then I have no right to your obedience.” It is mentioned in Al Bidaya wan Nihayah volume 6 pages 305-306. Does this mean you don’t obey a leader in the specific haram action he instructed you to do, or does this show you can disobey the leader if he proves to be a fasiq? Thank you

You obey as long as it doesn't go against the deen. If he commands you to do haram you disobey.

To the people who are in the comments arguing away with the numpties who think Khuruj is acceptable, please don't bother. If they won't be convinced by a 14 and a half hour video, what will they be? A truthful person only needs one evidence for him to accept it, while 5000 evidences won't be enough for the one who just wants to follow his desires. The proof has been established in this video. If they want to watch it, let them. If they don't, don't bother arguing with them. There's no point.

You gotta be blind not to notice ARH was looking behind the shoulders of the host. It's called professional script reading. Wish you weren't that blind. Nevertheless, ARH does have good memory. But you'd be naive to believe that for the 12 hours of the video that was aired, he was recalling everything from his memory and not reading from a script or partial script. And the host asking the questions are already scripted. This is a well crafted podcast nevertheless.

2:40:00 in and it's incredibly convincing and through. I'm going to try and watch the rest over the course of this week. Someone asked about references, there are tons including page numbers (though those can change depending on edition etc) in just the first few hours. TBH a few hours in really did settle it, but if someone wants to see it all explained then they should continue to watch. It's quite through in going over the subject.

How can one be standing on the Tariq as-salaf, and say that ruling by other then what Allah reveals is not Kufr? When the Quran affirms it and in the Nawaidul-Islam- the nullifiers of Islam by Sheikh Muhammed ibn Abdul Al Wahab. Ruling by other then what Allah reveals is Kufrn Akbar correct?

It is not so straightforward, it can be minor kufr. Besides, it is not for a layman like me and you to declare a supposed muslim as a kafir, rather this is left for the major scholars of islam.

Sahih Muslim 1853 It has been narrated on the authority of Aba Sa'id al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When oath of allegiance has been taken for two caliphs, kill the one for whom the oath was taken later. وَحَدَّثَنِي وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي، نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ إِذَا بُويِعَ لِخَلِيفَتَيْنِ فَاقْتُلُوا الآخَرَ مِنْهُمَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

1:44:45 it is asked if every ruler should be obeyed and the answer given as: yes, every ruler. However, the word min is used and according to my knowledge this means, the ruler must be chosen from the nation, he must represent the nation. Also in the Ayat: 4:59, which is quoted here, the word obey is used once for Allah and once for his rasul s.a.w.. You can also listen to Nouman Ali Khans lecture on this Ayat

5:38:35: The Ustadh quotes Ibn al-Mundir, and then translates the word (كالمجمعين) as them being in unanimous agreement. However, this is a mistranslation, as Ibn al-Mundir actually said: it is *similar* to an consensus, but not an actual consensus. This is possibly due to the fact that there are some people of Hadith that disagreed with this view and believed that rebelling was permissible.

Please correct me if I misquoted anything. Now some donkeys appear out of the blue and brings doubts and later they are being humiliated!

They just start complaining and moaning saying your leaders are traitors and you shouldn’t listen to them and fight against them... Like bro shut up I don’t want my country to turn into another syria 😅😅😅 I would rather have a corrupt leader than a civil war where half of my people are dying. Not equal are those believers remaining [at home] - other than the disabled - and the mujahideen, [who strive and fight] in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred the mujahideen through their wealth and their lives over those who remain [behind], by degrees. And to both Allah has promised the best [reward]. I'll clarify: As for the the one who dismantles the Sharia or rather changes it/ replaces it with another form of law, ruling by other than what allah revealed then they are not included in this by consensus of Ahl Sunnah in opposition to the Murjiah and others

yes barak Allahu feek brother for clarifying that hadith about Muawiyah r.a.a and how other sahaba refuted the action (itself without naming Muawiyah r.a.a) when it reach him by narrating from Muhammad s.a.w a hadith and when Muawiyah r.a.a defended his action on khutba when news reached him (news about sahaba who refuted action of Muawiyah r.a.a itself without naming his name). and news about Muawiyah r.a.a defending his action on khutba reached sahaba he said we will narrate hadith of Muhammad s.a.w which reached us regardless what Muawiyah r.a.a says and how dear he is to us (pay attention regardless in context means regardless whatever anyone says and how dear they are to us we will still narrate hadithes of Muhammad s.a.w which reached us). first of all this can not be used as evidence what happened between sahabas refutation and quarrels (whether it was done in nice manner or harsh manner) which they had amongst themselves unless one of them in the matter was refuted by Muhammad s.a.w or divinely by Allah swt with ayah. i see this one time brought up to me i read it, its narrated in al Bukhari collection as well. but use it as evidence to rebel against muslim ruler. really? i said i was amazed how that guy brought it as evidences. its my opinion maybe its itmah as well i dont know im not giving fatawa here im not qualified but i though to myself how sick they could be to justify haram by bringing this type of evidences without knowing context and how to apply it and Allah swt knows best

With all due respect even if you believed that kurooj was allowed against a Tyrant Muslim Ruler you would never publicly admit it, as you full well know what would happen to you..

Nearly 12 plus another 2 and half, so 14.5 hours.

I thought it was sufficient to end this podcast after the evidences of the Quran and Sunnah... Slander has resulted in hardened hearts to clear cut evidences. May Allah purify our hearts.

May Allah bless the ustadh for relating this knowledge with us, I would like to though make a comment that... is this discussion really necessary at the current time for English-speaking Muslims living in non-Muslim countries where there isn't a rebellion in sight? I feel we are unnecessarily wasting our time in this discussion where such a scenario does not even exist and it's a theoretical discussion. These debates have been taking place for decades and one can easily go and find those discussions but we still find ourselves in the same situation. Oppression is still widespread in the Muslim world, we can't find solutions for a million Muslims being stripped of their religion in China or a million being exiled from their lands in Burma or the millions of Palestinians who are still refugees while the Israeli settlement continues and then we have Muslim countries recognising Israel. So injustice continues and we are discussing these matters which distracts us from the real issues of the ummah. If we continue like this then we will raise another generation who will not focus on the real core issues affecting us but take part in these theoretical discussions again while injustice continues, which is exactly what the enemy wants.
