In this video I go through the lessons that this world and its characters have taught me, lessons that I think can resonate with all of us, whether we’re navigating the wild west or the modern world.

RDR 2 is one of the very few games that managed to push me or made me feels that doing "good" things are more rewarding and satisfying than destroy everything in your path. Ofc, being bad in RDR 2 is also fun, experimenting how much the people and world around the player reacts to our bad deeds are interesting in it's own way. Gotta love character who try their best to be better than yesterday despite how flawed and imperfect they are

Thanks, Rockstar. And you, Vicious TNT. Your channel will grow, I promise that. I got this video in recommendations, so the progress is here. Don't stop. So, yes. i learned from rdr2 story that you can get betrayd by the close people that they are around you i mean like dutch did to arthur and the second thing is when you help people and give and make good things to people you will live and die like men
Really enjoyed that. I’ve always loved the fact that Arthur is not the main character of the story, even in his own mind, at first. He thinks he’s the, “second heavy from the left,” in Dutch’s gang and that’s it. As he grows into a better person he becomes the main character, even to himself, with a mission of importance that reaches beyond his own life, his desires and becomes about saving a family.

I think the reason i cried so much during red dead is because I relate so much to Arthur. Like him, in my childhood I was always running to save a burning ship. And thru being a people pleaser, much like Arthur. I tried to keep the wrong people happy far to long, and I did things I am ashamed of because i couldn't say no to my peers, or i just didn't idk. Now I'm trying to just be there for those who really matter, I could do better but I'm trying to be responsible and not fuck things up because I'm trying to play both sides. Unlike Arthur tho, I am not dead. I get a chance our beloved arthur rightly deserved, something to be grateful for.

There a few games that can bring generations together or actually relate w/ the death from an illness or bad decisions as well as those regrets which haunt us until we die. If you have been told how long you have left to live etc. it truly changes you in one way or another ..the morality system is creepily accurate in some regards. When you know your dying.. its a funny thing

Minecraft taught me alot as a kid honestly. Especially that glass is made from sand, that really shocked me.
About the "second family" part - Arthur hasn't really chosen Dutch and the gang, but rather they chose him, since he was a 14 years old orphan when Dutch and Hosea picked him up and turned him into one of them. The story of Red Dead does show how people can change and outgrow the old bonds, being opened to creating new ones - just like Arthur and John that basically became brothers at the end. Moreover, Arthur helped John to escape the Dutch's cult-like narrative as well and realize that Abigail and Jack are the REAL family he got. The second one, actually - the one that would make John truly happy. Man, this game is something else...

Listen my favorite games are: red dead redemption, cyberpunk 2077, red dead redemption 2, five nights at freddy's, five nights at freddy's 2 & five nights at freddy's 3. And the game that has had the most impact on me was Red Dead Redemption 2, it changed me and really made me inspire to be like Arthur and I'm still trying to be like him and be better than my past self. Red Dead Redemption 2 provides you with countless fun, the best story in fiction and the best open world in gaming but it also leaves you with a life lesson not many games do that, and while red dead redemption 1 and cyberpunk also give valuable lessons on life they don't do it quite as well as red dead redemption 2.
Funny that every time you're about to escape someone abusing you, they say you're no longer loyal. You can only ever be loyal to ideas, never people
A game usually has a story, and with every good story, you can take something from it. Even from games without a story you can learn things, like coordination or organization. Do you know those bad MMOs? In some of them if you fail to upgrade your item, it will be destroyed. The mechanic is to make you buy things that prevents the losing of the item, but it also teach you that nothing in life is guaranteed and sometimes you have to take the L and start over.

What kind of philosophy is redemption
- Writing this lines I'm currently in the middle of your video. I paused to say: Very deep thoughts I can agree upon. That game is very good in translating the thoughts of Arthur (and John) to the player. In nearly all other games text is only exposition at best, in RDR2 there's emotion too in the mix. I played that game three times in a row and plan to do that again when my memories are washed away a little bit more than now. 😉 - 38:16 - "Love exists..." and do a loving act! ♥... 40:00 - There it is!!! I still was able to talk with the nun, that lines are burned into my brain! - As I said the last time: Your videos are very well made!
