I think this record is so underrated because this is one of his deepest song, lyrically and emotionally. Moving Mountains is in the same bracket but this is number one.

Hands on Thompson I'm so sorry ur going thorough this.I never leave comments or reply's but reading your comment my heart went out 2 u maybe because i could relate as i had always had men who beat me as my mother and i could never work out why. After a lot of counselling i learnt that i had such low self esteem i allowed men 2 treat me that way and i had 2 learn 2 love myself and learn what the early warning signs of abuse were and abuse comes in so many forms. Emotional abuse is the worst as from what you wrote it sounds like u and ur mother suffered because a black eyes fades in 2 wks bruises on the heart can last a life time. I also had 2 learn I had 2 break the cycle and unfortunately any kind of abusers can walk into a room and pick out the emotionally vulnerable person in the room. Now the way i look at all my relationships is people can only treat me the way i allow them 2 treat me. if u need some 1 2 chat 2 an faceless person 2 unload and wont judge i would me more than willing just reply back n we can exchange details as i found talking 2 some 1 who didn't know me the essayist 2 talk 2 but i understand if u don't shall include u in my prayer tonight as Tupac says "Keep Ya Head Up" god rest his soul.
