@@Scrappy0794 My only exotic weapon icons are from S21-23 haha, but I know I’d recognize them immediately! Thing is, I did a lot of backend cataloguing and documentation sorta stuff on my team for a while regarding icons, so they could be easily referenced or checked (I could go on for hours about the “Visual Language” of Destiny’s iconography lol the deeper you get the more you realize it’s basically full-on hieroglyphics with meaning in every symbol) which meant that I was staring at every weapon icon all the time while sorting them haha! But I’ll admit, while watching there were definitely a few I didn’t get lol

Danielle was right, a decent amount have a part of the gun in the symbol. Cloudstrike's has the staff in the icon, just as an example.

I'm watching a youtube video that's been edited for time, so maybe I'd've faired better with the actual quiz, but yeah, this was a challenge. This is like taking a quiz where you name the lore books based on their cover images. It's stuff that gives the game texture, but is in no way a thing you need to know. And I'm coming from a place of actually enjoying looking at the intrinsic perk icons when I'm inspecting the guns, and I've got a pretty good catalogue in my brain of foundry logos, perk/origin trait icons, representational images of parts of weapons, and artwork on or associated with the weapons that tie to the game world and its characters. It's at least a good enough catalogue to where I could make some strongly educated guesses here and there, but I was at a loss for most of these, especially anything that was just a stylistic representation of just... crackling energy. lol

Need to see Fallout doing this

They make a bit more sense when you realize that the icon is for the intrinsic perk, not for the weapon itself. :D

See icon of hive worm. Immediately go ex diris cause latest hive weapon completely forgetting the grenade launcher we got in wq that literally uses a hive worm

It killed me that you were looking at the taken and Gambit logos combined and didn't guess Malfeasance. Earning that gun is traumatic enough to burn it into your brain

To be fair how often and HARD are you staring at these icons... Like there's no real need to ya know? Also a LOT of them just don't do a great job matching with the weapon's like physical appearance, lore or otherwise to help someone guessing.

I suppose I'm an exception. I always think the icons are neat in how they relate to what they do. Could you pick an Exotic trait that you think is super obscure so I can explain it per your parameters?
