6:31 I wasn't an experienced driver as a teen when my granddad let go of the steering wheel at 100 mph in a Vauxhall Zafira to eat an ice cream :) It was a gentle curving road though, so the steering wheel shaking from an out of balance wheel or whatever didn't cause any issues.

Deterrent is not the same as barrier. Seems like a lot of the deterrents did the job fine and the animals would have gone somewhere else, if they had the opportunity.

I grew up with a mother that put mothballs in every bit of cloathing and every bit of cloth storage.I was living away, came home for a date; and grabbed a jacket out of one of mum's many wardrobes. Naphtha: the bad smell of a failled date! I am fairly sure napphra has been illegal where I live for decades.

Best thing for a garden/planter box is lemon grass. It repels them all the time. My wife planted catnip, and surrounded it with lemon grass. The cats would gather around, but never go in.

Though with both the tower and the planter box having the deterrents in such a small space it did set a VERY high standard for the test. There wasn't really any alternative for the cats to do.
