I assume a large turbo exhaust housing helps as well. I have a S480 with the 96/88 turbine with the exhaust sticking out of the fender on my Silverado and it's really not much louder than it was when it was cammed and full exhaust.

Does the state of Georgia require emissions testing for vehicles 96 and up as part of yearly inspection? What about the exhaust exiting behind the rear axle? They do here in North Cakalaka.

Cam timing and compression have a lot to do with it. Your long block seems really mild.

In most states, it is illegal regardless of how loud or quiet it is. The exhaust has to extend beyond (behind) the passenger compartment.

How is it when you are driving/doing pulls? Planning to do this with my Mustang ls turbo

If he wanted to go after you tho, it's kinda obvious you modified/altered your emissions control device 😂, i.e. no cats.

Don’t know if u still have the car or not but any tip on how to shoot the exhaust out the front bumper looking to do it in my camaro but don’t know if just flipping the headers work or what’s the best way to do it

you can flip em depends on where your turbo is located

Cool video Id like to see it again outside just to see if the resonance from that wall creates a diff.

I know it’s an old video. But, when using a stationary sound meter, it legally should be in an open area with nothing around the car for sound to deflect off of. Also should be held a minimum of three feet from the exhaust. Its probably even lower than the meter reading in the video. Overall Good video. Thanks

Should be done outside. Noise will bounce off the walls in a garage

If you don’t get pulled by GSP the only other place in America (if you even want to consider them that) is California 😂 I got pulled for window tint on a car I was going to trade in up by Baxley last summer 😭😭
