I recently did a solo ride from Mumba to Goa so decided to share my experience and things i learnt about Continental GT 650 on this ride. I hope if you got an answer to if you can travel with gt on long rides or not .
It is an amazing bike and apart from minor issues , you'll love each second of riding it.

this bike is class apart comparing to garden variety triumph and Harley recently launched in India
Just did from Bangalore to North Goa last week on my GT which Google shows 12 hrs non stop...so did that in 12 hrs with multiple stops including stops for food cuz this bike is wonderfully fast...one thing you didn't mention in this video is that your ass takes a whacking...apart from the stops that I took to rest my hands and rehydrate on regular intervals I would also slow my speed sometimes and stand up on my foot pegs to relief the pressure on my bums for a little bit... And obviously your wrist will be the most hurt by the end of the trip which you have mentioned...but nothing can beat the thrill of riding this beast on the highway 👍🏻

Same here .. It's good just for short ride. Now am in mixed feeling situation loving and regretting. I just went for 200km tour ride Now I Don't have guts to go on tour with this bike

Go with himalayan, I know GT is 🔥. But Himalayan can do both city rides and long rides too....
