Hi mate I saw one of your video that you use a mussel lure for bream fishing what weight are you using? Cheers.

My biggest bullshark was caught on that exact rod. Which was about 1.3 metres. They hold up pretty well

Literally nailed the guess on the 38 mate, I caught a 38 not long ago and was like that looks the same 😅 A 35+ I always think is going to be over 40 when in the water, you pick it up and then start to umm and arr you know it's a 38 😅😂 Well done on an awesome Kmart gear session, you should do a hand reel session for big fish on the Parra one night 👍 Spewing about losing that mystery big fish after the Breambo, I guess it was mulloway but I wasn't fighting it haha, no big head shakes it had to be a ray of some kind... Another 2 nice Bream to end the video I thought that second one was going to be another 38 😅😂 I enjoyed it as always legend, I'm going to have to try this spot soon 🎣

Great vid shroom I think that fish you lost was a shovel nose shark they always eat those type of baits and it was fighting and pulling like some type of shark ❤❤

I reckon you're right, I've caught a heap of them at night , usually on a piece of yakka too. Although it could've been a port-jackson , they also often grab bottom baits at night . But if I had to pick one I'm with you on the shovel-nose.

Yep, we need to see what that rod is capable of. I have quite a bit of faith in it. we need to see a decent swamp monster put it to the test.

I use solar generators, I have a few of them basically a battery that provides powerpoints

Video idea: fish in the smallest part of the river.

it is a stingray, reason for that is when you were fighting the fish sometimes it becomes heavy, that when those red stingrays bury him self in the sand and then once you pull them out of sand you then feel much lighter when pulling them back. I fight them in upper parra river with soft plastic and saw them doing this in front of me.

Don't ever change. I get so much value out of your videos. Watching you attend to a fish and your other rod going ballistic in the background was like "Shroom your other rod!" Thanks for the content is a highlight of the week and I do learn stuff!

Good session mate, and thanks for showing how you don't have to spend a fortune to go fishing. Have to tell you a story: I was up the coast in a little fishing tackle shop looking at all the lures, when an old bloke came past and said "mate, these lures catch more fisherman than fish". Had a chuckle...

Flatties love the dirty water, lob a stinky or oily bait out in good current flow

I've just moved to Sydney. Can you eat the fish caught, read online a whole bunch of stuff? I mean I've eaten from Brisbane river all my life and haven't had a 3rd arm growing yet. curious on some thoughts

You can eat in some areas, but not in the Parra though. Just gotta pick your areas, closer to ocean is generally safer

I have 3 Kmart reals . Catch flathead and Bream regularly . The odd rat king in the harbour . If you loose one over the side its not so bad.

Sabiki jigs or a single small hook #12 for example and a sinker as a paternoster or simply sinker to swivel to leader then hook

@@ShroomFishing Sort of like an ice fishing rod, but meant for kids. They are 36 inches long built like all Ugly Stiks ( almost unbreakable) Seen 100's of vids on guys in US using them to do crazy fishing with. Bought sum here in NZ and what a little weapon they are. Landed a 12 pound Snapper on one and it was bent right down to the butt. Reels they come with are not flash so I swap to little Shimanos from 1000-3000 sized. Keep one in the car to have a sneaky fish here n there. Cant stop smiling each time I use one.

When I was your age we had to pay an arm and a leg to get a rod and reel combo half as good as that $20 K Mart deal 😵‍💫

Fishing hooks are specially designed to breakdown overtime . Fish that are gut hooked have a much better chance of survival when you cut the line rather than when you try to pull the hook out.
