I'm beginning to realize that it's possible to beat this game with any type of monster when they're being carried by so many good spell and trap cards. Like, 3 Bright Castles and 3 Megamorphs would allow even a 0 ATK monster to beat Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon.

Yeah, it's pretty fun to beat the game in so many different ways now that we can see who gives what. I have a new appreciation for this gem.

Yeah I loved the editing here like giving extra info on screen that villager 1 has a 10% chance to drop a ritual card on A/S tec. Also really liked the parts where only the turn end animation was played so you saw how the field got changed while the board was rotating.

Honesty, despite the hate, i could watch a THTD focused challenge, where you can only deal damage with it seeking to perfect the THTD deck. Also limiting yourself to canon pharoh cards would be neat too. A couple more poor thoughts are: fusions only, magic/trap only (+ their fusions), and the time traveller archetype (cards that only a time traveller should have), only damage via defense damage

Great video, this game was my childhood always seemed to get the worst rng back then 😂

It’s great to see this game completed in such varied ways. I got the game for Christmas one year when I was a kid, loved the Anime and so really got into the game. I only ever got to Seto 3rd and could never beat him. It’s good to know that the game actually cheats and behaves unfairly against the player and that’s one of the reasons I found it so difficult. Great videos with extremely high quality from you!

Yeah, turtles is on the list. Burn damage, unfortunately, there aren't enough burn cards to make a full deck dedicated to it, but I do have a deck lined up that will utilize the burn cards with another archetype that synergizes well with it. I'm currently editing a completed run that was really hard to pull off, so it'll be some time before I get to that stuff, but I will have all the archetypes completed eventually.

First time viewer, and I gotta say that was pretty cool. The little Kuriboh helper is the best, sneaking some small trivia. The worst is there's a few moments where the video goes "I do this, he does that, I do this", which is slightly boring. If I'd have a suggestion, I'd say do more of those speedups where the board keeps getting spun round as you and the CPU keep passing turns. Those are more fun to watch than watching you navigate through an uninteresting game state. Voilà, those are my 2 cents.

I enjoy your videos and enjoyed this one too, but something that I want to critise was the thing with Rock Ogre Grotto #1. When you added it I thought "Its just another rock monster", so it was okay, But then you added Horn of Light specifically for it, which weirded me out because it made it more than just another generic rock. I know this is very minor and you dropped it quickly after, but I would have preferred if you just had gotten rid of Rock Ogre Grotto #1 as soon as possible or had not used that equip on it.

It's a valid criticism. Something like this won't happen in any future runs.

Fun fact: from what we know the reason few bosses have THTD is because of the fact it’s so powerful and versatile to fuse that the game is teaching you recipes, this is in fact why so many duelists use fusion over power till high mages, it’s a teaching tool built into all of the story content essentially

I think it's mainly the colors of the text clashing with (or overly matching) the colors of the background, but I'm no artist so take that with a grain of salt. The issue was more noticeable when the thumbnail was smaller, off to the right in the related videos section. I usually don't point out things like this, but your editing seems great in general so I figured I should mention it, even if the problem might just be my eyes lol. I still can't get Mai to drop Harpie Lady Sisters, or Elegent Egotist, though I do have a Harpie's Pet Dragon (I can't remember who I got it from). You obviously wouldn't use Pet Dragon in a Winged Beast deck.

The reason you aren't getting Harpie Lady Sisters is because it doesn't drop from anyone. It's one of those locked cards that can only be obtained by the PocketStation. Wingedbeasts has another one of those Heishin farm requirements, I think, so it'll be tough, but definitely will do it.

I guess in terms of possible runs, reptiles would be the hardest. Their strongest attacking card is Emperor of the Seas at 1800 ATK, which is low. Sea Serpents only have 5 cards in the archetype, so a legitimate run is technically impossible.

@@FunBox. i read that emperor of land and sea though has several equip cards that support it. deepsea shark has far fewer but fish do get the umi support while reptiles do not even have a field card.

@scorpionsapprentice3248 Yeah, so when determining how hard a challenge run will be, I look at what cards are available in the starting deck and how to obtain better ones. Emperor of the Land and Seas does have a lot of equip cards that work with it, but it's much harder to win it from those that drop it compared to Deepsea Shark, so the challenge run may be more difficult using Reptiles.

I have theory-crafted a Ritual Monster run. Doing it legitimately is a brobdingnangian task and I want to eventually get to doing it. However, there are "KZread" reasons which lean me towards not doing it anytime soon, and I'd rather not get into it in detail so as to avoid another wave of hate. Not saying it's completely out of the picture, but now isn't a good time for it.
