@@gruenerkoala Yeah the new weapons, graphics and NPC outfits are nice but the fact that warfare basically crashes the game everytime is pretty damn sad.. not to mention if you mess something up or enable the wrong mod, your whole game can break..

Yeah. Took me a while to realize that while Monolith are an absolute menace at range they have no clue how to fight up close.

Damn I guess the legend about "A stalker with right set of artefacts that killed a whole battalion of Monolith soliders with an axe" was real... But that Stalker had only one artefact and used a machete not axe

I love that "Can I Axe you a question" "Axe axe!" ~Axe, Dota 2

The axe is legitimately busted since it can 1 shot exos like its nothing. My endgame playthroughs have mostly ended with me ditching guns altogether and just using an axe and exosuit to clear groups of enemy stalkers.

Don't get between a crazed knife wielding maniac and his shot taking

This is a nice challenge after learning how powerful most handguns are. I watched a video testing actual shots to kill, made me try a pistol only run myself and it turns out an OTS-33 auto rechambered for 9x19 can carry you. Even the starter PM pistol is workable. Melee weapons on the other hand... Theres no good solution haha

So you can beat Anomaly in Matchete Cortez Style

I know I have taken down everything in the zone at least once with my Monolith's blade, including whole squads of stalkers. It is possible, and actually quite easy so long as you time everything just right.

There's an Azazel mode, so this could be Jason mode. You know what irritates me, though? There still hasn't been a mod that makes melee attacks work right. There's always an obligatory pause in between strikes. NO ONE fights like that IRL. Btw, here's a "Jason Mode" video I made: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dJ2A2cGHpdSqdc4.html Note: It's brief. It never would have occurred to me to attempt going through the whole game in Jason mode! 5:57 Jason mode, engage! Kukri > machete. 7:45 I usually equip her with a Galil, then we go hunt pseudogiants and Monolith goons in the Red Forest. Good times. }:-D 9:33 A kukri isn't made for stabbing. If it was, it would have a straight (and likely thin) blade. But then it wouldn't be a kukri. 14:00 There's no stabbing going on there. That's hacking and slashing. A kukri is made for hacking and slashing, not stabbing.

How about doing the gamma storylines using pistols only? or shotguns.

Grenades and IED and explosives only. So Monolith wouldn't just be running away from a maniac, but running away from a mania with 50kg worth of TNT strapped in his backpack.

Well I hope someone gives us Strelok in tighty whiteys to balance the scales.

Alright. Now try to beat the entire trilogy melee only. Im pretty sure this is possible for SOC. Not sure about COP. I do know that you can't beat Clear Sky melee only because Strelok.

Honestly my friend, the Dark Signal modpack is my favorite. It has a Base Preset, that keeps gameplay almost identical to vanilla Anomaly. And an overhauled preset for a more exciting experience.

Yes and no It’ll run fine, but sometimes it has issues with running Anomaly and DX11.
